Missile Fired 35 Miles Off L.A. Coast - Chinese Warning Over Dollar Devaluation?

So far accidental launches have been ruled out. If I were some of you, I would hold off on some of your opinions before you end up looking like fools:

I guess no one listened to anything I said way back at the beginning. I'm a submariner...I've served on both submarine platforms. This was an ICBM. ICBM's are fucking absolutetly 1000% impossible to accidently launch. Anyone that says that, either doesn't know what the fuck they are talking about, or they are a shill. ICBM's can maintain orbit for days...and as someone else mentioned its not just one nuclear warhead per missile. SSBN's can carry up to 24 missiles as well. And btw, there is a SSN submarine base located in San Diego that could track that fucker and blow it out of the water in less than 48 hours probably, if they hadn't already deployed the Anti-Sub planes.

I've changed my mind, I now think it was South Korea aiming at North Korea.

I was just about to say. Uh China threatening us with missiles? Even this doesn't seem plausible to me and up until now I gave your threads at least a little thought and credibility hellblazer.

The U.S. would blow everyone the fuck up in a minute and they all know this, that's why the only way we ever get attacked is by small groups of terrorists.

Do you think obama would have the stones to attack china?

China has been modernizing their military at breathtaking speed. And if you think they're afraid to attack the United States, you're dead wrong.

could china even get to within 35 miles of our coast without us noticing?

This ^^^

What about the possibility that it was a very large rocket, not missile, from a Muslim extremist?

And Subigo- you often do come off as simply a whiny child. And no, I am not a conservative and yes, I disagree plenty with what Hellblazer says.

Perhaps I'm dumb for asking this question but I haven't seen it addressed...where the fuck did the missile/rocket even go after it was launched?

If they can do this, who knows what else they can do:

American military chiefs have been left dumbstruck by an undetected Chinese submarine popping up at the heart of a recent Pacific exercise and close to the vast U.S.S. Kitty Hawk - a 1,000ft supercarrier with 4,500 personnel on board.

By the time it surfaced the 160ft Song Class diesel-electric attack submarine is understood to have sailed within viable range for launching torpedoes or missiles at the carrier.

According to senior Nato officials the incident caused consternation in the U.S. Navy.

The Americans had no idea China's fast-growing submarine fleet had reached such a level of sophistication, or that it posed such a threat.

One Nato figure said the effect was "as big a shock as the Russians launching Sputnik" - a reference to the Soviet Union's first orbiting satellite in 1957 which marked the start of the space age.

The incident, which took place in the ocean between southern Japan and Taiwan, is a major embarrassment for the Pentagon.

They do everyday. Ever been to the port and seen all the COSCO containers? Chinese Red Army of course. For those in the flyover states - those are the boxes on the trains delivering to the trucks that drive to Wal-Mart.

And for the record I do not think it was China.

You are all trying to rationalize this information and displaying such (conflicting) conviction because it is a coping mechanism to deal with your fear or the unknown.
