Why are the richest in the US getting another tax break?

I don't think its a stretch to say that our current system has generated large gaps of non-representation for anyone in between poverty and uber rich. The "hiring lobbyist in DC" rich corporations don't need to vote, because they just work on the politicians already in office. The poor vote in droves because they vote for whoever is going to bring in the most money in entitlements for them.

I'm not saying all big corporations and all poor people act this way, just saying that the ones that to drastically overpower or outnumber the people who actually make this country work.

The solution would be a flat tax for everyone, fair tax, or no income tax at all. We did fine without an income tax, and things have only gone to hell since it's been established.

Problem with a flat tax is that the govt's rev is destroyed during our (seemingly cyclical) economic downturns.

HOW DO WE SOLVE THIS?

I believe the answer is simple: raise the minimum wage to $50/hour.

Now I know that some of you Neanderthalic, knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers might object to this. But if you do then you’re either a flat-out MORON or a corporate shill. Look at the facts:

(1) People don’t have a lot of money
(2) If the minimum wage is increased to $50/hour, these people will have more money

It’s that fucking simple, fucking idiots. I can’t believe I have to explain this shit to you fucking Jesus-loving, Fox-watching, racist, xenophobic, gun-toting jingoists. People who own and run businesses are rich assholes, and it’s time we gave them a big “fuck you” for having money by taking it from their greedy hands and giving it to the people who need it.

Any conservatard that tries to argue with this is just upset that under this plan we’d be giving blacks and other minorities the money previously being hoarded by greedy white capitalist corporatist fucks. Racists.

I read yesterday and agree that it is possible that the Dem's stimulus would have worked if they allowed the money into the economy and not to their cronies and unions. If they actually had shovel ready jobs, which they did not.

The only reason a tax break works is because it puts money into the hands of those that do have shovel ready jobs - the current employers. Or those to whom the rich will spend their money - who are in and of themselves shovel ready employers.

This simple tweak could make it more palatable to the Dem's. Keynes can work in the short run, but only if the cash is allocated quickly and not hoarded/wasted by non productive parts of society. (unions, city coffers, etc)

Where did you read this? It sounds completely false. Nearly 40% of the stimulus was tax breaks. The rest of it went to a variety of projects and programs.

Also, trying to predict human behavior via economic theory is stupid. Economic incentive is not the be-all-end-all of human behavior at all. It's just one of several incentives.

Heck, any data showing people making 250k a year or higher are all well positioned to create jobs? How many jobs does Barry Bonds create?
 
^ I am sure you could find data that would show small business getting their taxes increased enough results in job loss. If you want to see how economics can predict human behavior to some extent read freakanomics, it's pretty interesting.

If I was a business owner and you demanded more money from my business via the IRS I would supply lower wages, or even job elimination and an increase in the price of goods to off set the demand for my money!

You will have to show me where on the page it says that. Are you talking about the $500 to taxpayers? That is hardly a tax break that creates jobs. Now a permanent tax break that a business can count on, that will create jobs. One time tax breaks are squandered and wasted.
