Yeah but still no regular updates, no Bing, none of the other data is updated (as was supposed to be after the move) and groups with a " / " in them don't work, which I let them know about, 4 days ago.

Review:

I signed up for it when it first came out, so I have been using it for several months now. And honestly can't make the plunge to fully upgrade to a paid account. Though for purposes of this review that should not matter (since up until 2 weeks ago, the free vs paid accounts both got the 1 hr updates).

PROS:
1. Easy to use interface
2. Cloud SAAS service, so nothing to run. No proxies to buy, ect.
3. Affordable service for the price if you choose to upgrade
4. Support and fixes are timely. If it's an easy fix.

CONS:
1. Widely inaccurate results. Swings like you would not believe that when verified in SERPS are incorrect.
2. Questionable SERP results, leave you second guessing a lot of the time. And really defeat the purpose of rank tracking. It's like having a gas gauge that always reads wrong and you find yourself running out of gas.
3. They have this attitude as seen on this thread that- basically if you don't like it and are wondering why you can't get accurate results, we don't care.
4. Links and Bing results are constantly updated and in many cases have not been updated in weeks (ie. backlinks).

Overall opinion- Overall with other online rank tracking services like AuthorityLabs and others, they really need to get things more stable. After months of running, they are far out of what you consider "BETA". They either need to figure out how to run things better and provide accurate results. Or I have a feeling myself like others will never upgrade our accounts or decide to use their competitors services or alternatives that work.

mOrtal my dashboard came back with correct google rankings this morning

not for me all I am getting is:
You have asked Firefox to connect
securely to users.sescout.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely,
sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are
going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to
this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is
trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.
The above Firefox error message which I assumed was because they have yet to finish their servers changes.

It would be a lot more fun if their billing system was put on hold during this time. But unfortunately I keep getting billed like clockwork.

My thoughts....

These guys could be filthy rich providing a service when demand is high. IMO; remove that BING nonsense as it's not necessary and who gives a shit seeing Google is king. Since your servers all fucked off, instead of hourly updates make it setup for 4 updates a day (12:01AM, 6AM, 1200PM, 6PM) this way it's done quarterly, hourly is not necessary??

I'm not a programmer, so I don't understand the concept of how things work to the fullest. But maybe if these things were 86'd you'd be more stable?

I was a paying customer, but for the past 2 months I've been setup on a free account since the shit was always inaccurate. I've got like 50+ keywords and it's a bitch going to hidemyass (dot) com or other proxy type sites to check my serp results.

Get it together (lol) and drop me a pm when it's all fixed. I'd be working on this shit 24/7 due to the potential of how much $$ could be made if i was you :-)

^^This.

You have a great business idea - I do not now the economics of it but it is likely highly profitable.

Take the loss and write a check to someone that can handle your issues. I am certain there are any number of people that can solve your problems overnight, or at least in a few days. If you are trying to do it all on your own, you are not getting the job done. As a new business, face it, write the check to someone that can get it done. Even if you take a loss for a few months to recover the money spent.

Guerilla mentioned he would refer anyone that asked to the provider that scaled DFB's server issues, now I have no idea if that is your problem, but if it is, then its a start.

If you cannot write the check yourselves because you have spent the money or whatever cash flow reason, then cut a deal with someone that can cash flow you and add the needed expertise.

You have the idea & customers - that is good - now get someone to fix your problems before someone else steps in, capitalizes on what you built by building it themselves, and wipes you out. This is how business works and the good will from your asking everyone to stick with you in order to help you build only goes so far - and you can see that there are many who want to stick with you - but the patience is running thin.

My suggestion is write the check to someone that can get it done.

Do not F around with low end providers or friends that you think can help - it is too late for that.

I wish you the best of luck. I want you to succeed.

Well I do appreciate the input, and know that there are quite a few people willing to lend a hand, this isn't as simple as "writing a check".

Everything works on a small scale. It isn't even as easy as toning down updates to 3 or 4 times a day, that is simply delaying the inevitable (there is only so much time in a day).

Once we resolve the DB issues we are debugging now, scaling will become a non-issue.

Sites down. Cmon guys...

Site is up here, haven't heard or noticed any issues since the domain renewal this morning. What are you seeing?

I appreciate that you are doing everything you feel is possible.

Though for the record - there are few problems that cannot be solved by paying the right people. It's just a fact. There are always smarter and more experienced people ready and willing to get paid to solve almost any problem.

Not trying to crap on the thread - I like the service - I will just sit tight, keep my paid account, and see how things pan out.
