I'm in to it with you guys, 36$ is expensive, but put a 10 days period is indeed insane.
Hope for a decision soon, I think 20$ month is ok for both sellers and forum owners.
If this is a decision to get out scammers I thing a post condition, let say 50 work fine.

$36 is indeed very expensive. Small service providers may not afford the price.
The beauty of this forum is: 100% Free to use. If it becomes paid forum, then it will be limited to few users like Warrior.
I came to know about Wickedfire 1 year before and I really loved to be a part of it since it has good number of buyers and sellers. But now as it is going to be paid, most of the users will think 100 times before using it.

No ads, no charges means it's difficult to maintain the portal. When we earn from WF, why can't we pay to keep it alive. I just agreed with "ntlyke" that everyone don't earn a 3 digit income, which is less than the current fee.
But, I'm ready to pay for a thread unless it's competitive to other forums. Maybe they can consider namepros, if they wish. Where you have the option to pay if you want to open more threads.

No. We should not keep this forum 100% free. It will just bring back the roaches that used to scam here.
FOR EXAMPLE - Before this rule was created, there were several blogroll link sellers who were officially scammers. Now that this rule is in place, I have not seen one scammer of blogroll links which comes to say that this rule does keep out scammers and brings quality services.
Maybe the price could be changed but please do not keep this forum free. I would say $50-100 per month would be affordable.

It's obvious what everyone wants here, i think they'll come up with a good compromise when they can work out exactly how to do it!
In the meantime, the BST does contain a lot less crap.
Exactly. 36 bucks is nothing if you have a decent product to sell... Wickedfire is the best, I'm glad something has been done. It did suck to have my thread closed, but that's how it goes.
I have nothing to do with payment, but I am about 99.99999% sure this ain't gonna happen.. so why keep on rambling about it?

The $36 for 10 days is expensive. Especially for the starters who seriously want to start new without much money to invest. As they are new, they have to gain reputations and compete with others too. Within 10 days, not many customers will come to you as a new service provider.
IMO, yes, you can charge to avoid spammers and all the unwanted stuff. But make it $36 monthly. Serious service providers are willing to pay but you have to pity the new comers too as they also can give you some income to maintain the forum, and also you can get more members here.

Not sure about this idea but just my 2 cents. Why cannot we have certain prices for certain members? Like, for instance, the Content or the Design section is without doubt the place where there are the least sales.
The Links and SEO section is probably where most of the business goes. So, why don't you categorize different prizes to it? So, for example, $100/month for Links & SEO thread and then something like $36/monthly for a thread in the other 2 sections..
This would stop the graphic designers complaining because they already work at cheap rates.
And if someone decides to post a SEO related thread in the Design thread to save some $$, then you simply ban them.
So at the end of the day, you are paying a fair amount to get a thread in that particular section. This will stop all the writers or designers saying it's too expensive.
Just my 2 cents.

Actually, if the purpose of the fee is to eliminate scammers, why charge trusted members at all?
