Are you losing rankings as well?

Seems nobody has nailed it yet. SB links, blog networks who knows. Anybody looked at their on site shit, Bounce rate etc..??

I've checked the sites where my spun content was posted before, 90% of them lost PR and a lot of them are deindexed. That means that blog network links are being de-valued...

BTW, I checked buildmyrank domains, they are still alive and with PR.

Conclusion - spun content garbage networks without quality control SUCK.

Anyone with update on this? Is it just "devaluation" or its devaluation+penalty?

One of my website which had stable #1 rankings for its main keywords, dropped to #10. The site has no blog network links at all, I started adding blog network links only since Dec 2011.

All my other sites continue dropping in rankigs...

I have highest quality content, its on insurance, 300+ pages.

Time on site 3-4+ minutes
Bounce rate under 40%
Pages/visit 3+

From the other thread it seems that big anchor diversification can bring your site around, but i have to say that we have not yet managed to pull it off on any of our affected sites..

Decent content
+ Link diversity
- Insane blasts to money sites
= climbing in the SERPs

We had one of our sites get hit. We always add lots of links to inner pages, maybe even more than the main page so that is not the problem. The hit can right after doing some very minor adjustments to the index page. We found that we were ranking for a phrase that was not found on the page at all so we added it one time to the text and next day boom- huge drop. Not just the index page but inner pages that were on page one dropped as well so the whole domain seemed to have lost power.

Anyone else find the drop right after minor on page tweeks?

That is SUPER weird, no I've never experienced that before, thankfully.

I saw the same thing happening to one of my sites. Actually it wasnt a real site yet. I had yet to start building it but i regged the domain 6 months ago placed 3-4 unique content articles and was gradually building links. Site was starting to rank on the first page in G.
So it was time to build the site further. Last week i started to make some changes in the template and added a few keywords in the content on the index page. then 2 days ago: boom my site was nowhere to be found, and still ranks below 60

Im pretty sure the drop is caused by the onsite changes. The backlinks that i build were mostly quality links from related sites ( no spinned shit or bulk)

That sucks, who doesn't make tweaks here and there. That's ridiculous.

What are your main backlink sources? Detailed reply will be appreciated. I dont ask for all your secrets, just throw some.

Might be your site design. Am in the same niche as you and I got fucked hard. Am thinking it was anchor text diversification/ little links to inner pages.

Thanks for the reply.

My anchors ware VERY diversified... now I think that the only reason can be brand linking, which I was NOT using widely...

What does design have to do in serp drops? you mean latest above fold algo update?

On about 5th of Feb I lost #1-5 position rankings for main keywords, no longtails were hit... 2-4 days after I totally lost all rankings including longtails.

Now I only rank on my exact domain keyword... damn.

I was using spin content and blog networks heavily, but I also had high quality links from similar sites.

Here is what I think as of now:

1. No brand linking (I should not have over used anchor texts, even click here is natural)
2. Over using spun content (as more as you use it, it gets less unique and easily trackable)
3. Over using blog networks... I checked about 50 of my 2-3 month old backlinks, all the homepage PR is 0, they lost it... some of them are deindexed.
4. In general, over using low quality link sources.

I feel i have a penalty because all above.

I had a similar thing happen to one of my sites. On Jan 23rd I tweaked the content on the home page and few other pages and increased the keyword density for a few high value terms. 3 days later my rankings for all pages dropped like crazy.
