Ahh - the biggest part of the problem.... YOU.

Yes I do think that if dumb ass people like you educated themselves and became active in your community, and knowledgeable about national politics things would change. And change fast.

But yes things WOULD change under RP.

1.) The bully pulpit of the president would allow him to actually reach the american people and explain how liberty is supposed to work. Once people get it - they get it.

2.) Changes in foreign policy would happen - and even if he was only president for 6 months those changes would take years to undo.

3.) Changes in our tax system, and actually allowing some markets to fail would actually JUMP START our economy again.

You've probably never lived through good years as an adult. Any person who worked in the 90's knows that was good times -- retail jobs paying 50k a year for example... now they pay 8 bucks an hour.

There were rough times in the past - and boom times. Cycles happen - - they happen a lot more under the fed.

That's just three things that would change the future - and give my kids one that I'm comfortable passing on.

You must like getting anal probed as you go through the airport. You must like drones watching you from the sky. You must like a government that is rapidly invading and controlling every aspect of your life. You must not care enough to be active or try to change it.... just accept it - and enjoy the outcome.

You missed the big debate thread here on WF a month or so ago about this exact topic. The outcome was "A WHOLE FRIGGIN' LOT... But anything will help over 4 more years of Bushbamney."

Actually, something else I thought of recently... You know how Obama makes all of these "Executive Orders" to do things that we all get pissed about? ACTA was a recent one... Well if he can make Executive orders to do things that are AGAINST the constitution, perhaps, just perhaps, Paul would make a few that would do things FOR the constitution, such as repeal those ones Obama made.

That would be enough to restore all the freedoms Obama has taken away from us... A lot of what Bush did to us too.

You don't have to be the aggressor. Will someone test you? Sure they will. When they do you hit them with so much force everyone else thinks twice about doing it again. But here's the thing. You'll have less people wanting to test you, because you mind your own business.

if you think you see fraud in the news and politics, you should try trading stocks and you'll see the fraud every day. once you see how the market aligns with politics and the media, you see the world through a different lens.
 
I honestly hope he does form a 3rd party. I know more liberals that will vote for him than Republicans.

To fix the US in 1 day all you haz to do is this:

1) Make it illegal to EVER have a none government owned entity to create money! You can have half half managers (but the government must have 51% majority shares).

2) Cut the Armys budget in half! There is no reason to spend that much on war and security (no one is after you and even at half that budget you would have a decent army and UN and other nations would step in should "big bad iranians" come after you).

3) Reform the whole education system and let the money follow the kids like they have in Switzerland. So if a kid is getting low grades and no good faculty support they can take their funds to another school where they will get better teaching. School will be forced to get their shit together or lose their pupils to better schools.

4) Loosen the business laws (and law in general) - hiring and firing. So that fucked up school teachers and lazy ass DMV government workers lose their jobs if they dont do it right.

5) Make it easier for people to start small business you will see lots of entreprenurs pop up left and right, and JOBS too. The big giant co-operations only counts for like 48% but 99% of companies dont have more than 500 employees! (link). If someone wants to become self employed then instead of forcing them to invest $50K+ via school loans into 3 years of full time study, let them do 3 years part time. And after year 1, let them get a loan of $10K each year (for them to do ACTUAL business trading - doing and reading are two complete different things and after 2 years of school and trading I bet by year three most of those mother fuckers will be able to run a successful small business).

6) Make it illegal for co-operations to sway and support politicians. Make it a system so that if people want to enter politics and have done the necessary courses or what ever - they will get access to those funds - So there is 1 big pool of money that everyone that is in politics gets equal access to. So if there are 10 official political parties then all the monies is split 10 ways and every mofo gets a equal chance to get his views out.

7)Before war or any major act that is changed - the nation will have to get a chance to vote. And it needs to be traceable. I.e online or by phone (if you mofos can do it for American idol ....) and you would need to have at least 51% of the votes for it to pass.

In my opinion if a president wanted to he could put these 7 ideas into practice in 1 term. Now I know there are some kinks that would need to be sorted out in the ideas and still other things that needs to be sorted like (state law and federal law) but over all if you were to start with that. Sorting out the other stuff would be quite easy if you followed similar principles .

4th Amendment - Unreasonable search and seizure: Started under the Patriot Act, extended and expended by Obama. Warrantless wiretapping, internet activity monitored, GPS units placed on vehicles without warrants (which was just overturned last week), tracking people based on the GPS enabled features in your phone, etc.

5th Amendment - Indictment and Due Process: Anwar Al-Awlaki and several other US citizens have been assassinated because the government claimed they were terrorists, but they never brought charges against them to even attempt to prove it. These men were not on a battlefield or engaged in any terrorist activities at the time of their assassinations. This was done prior to the passage of The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which now makes it legal to do this on US soil and to US citizens anywhere in the world.

6th Amendment - Fair and speedy public trial by jury, right to be notified of accusations, right to confront your accusers, obtain witnesses and retain counsel for your defense: Same as above - targeted assassinations with no charges, trial or oversight.

9th Amendment - Unenumerated Rights: essentially limits the power of the federal government to it's roles as spelled out by the Constitution. This is violated every day now although that didn't start under Obama.

10th Amendment - Limits rights of Federal Government to those enumerated in the Constitution: Similar to above. Federal government has been overreaching before Obama, but the pace and scope have accelerated considerably.

I'm sure they've violated all of our Bill of Rights on occasion, but these are just the most egregious ones I can think of and the ones that the Government does not make any apology for. These violations are now policy.

Not attacking him but it's worth remembering that RP would go after parts of the Constitution & Bill of Rights as well.
 
This is pretty good stuff; although he's not 100% right about "Every" Paulite taking their vote with them to the 3rd party... But certainly enough of them to make it interesting.

Have you noticed yet though, that this guy's theory aligns very well with the 3rd-party theory I mentioned in the OP?

I think he's definitely correct that Paul will take a large chunk of the GOP away from the GOP to his third party and completely obliterate Romney's chances defeating Obama. However, if this paper is validated, Paul would obviously want to distance himself from the GOP SOONER than the tampa convention.

As I said before, it's all going to be up to the Ph.ds and the liberal media if this part slays the GOP. That isn't in Paul's control, but leaving the GOP at some point is.

Yup, it's going to be interesting regardless. I hope your right though and the GOP gets crucified. I think even the most loyal neo-con will have a tough time staying loyal if there is enough proof of major fraud. So yeh, it would actually propel a RP 3rd party run. And who needs to actually be productive, right?
