Only obama can save us. Ron paul would bankrupt this country. He wants to go to war with Iran, he wants to bring back the draft so we have enough troops to go into Iran then China. Oh and hes a racist.
Just accept it. Obama is the only person who can save us. Did you forget that he killed the most dangerous man in the world and killed all the al qaeda. If you don't like Obama then you must be a racist trying to keep the black man down.

Stop wasting people's time with stupid questions, especially if you're too lazy to do your own research or understand how to analyze data.
Go take a statistics/data management course. Stats is a field of mathematics study. Plot the data.
That's probably why you did poorly in school and sell SEO services.
Also, learn grammar.
Anyone else got anything retarded to say and want to expose themselves as a moron? If not, you should read the documents prepared and check out the raw data set.
People use the word libertarian like it's a bad thing. If you don't like it, move to North Korea or something, fag
The US was founded on liberty and our freedoms have been slowly slipping away for a long time now. We need someone like Paul to go in and do everything in his power to set us back on track. The US government seems to have been infiltrated by NON-LIBERTARIANS
Ahh - the biggest part of the problem.... YOU.
Yes I do think that if dumb ass people like you educated themselves and became active in your community, and knowledgeable about national politics things would change. And change fast.
But yes things WOULD change under RP.
1.) The bully pulpit of the president would allow him to actually reach the american people and explain how liberty is supposed to work. Once people get it - they get it.
2.) Changes in foreign policy would happen - and even if he was only president for 6 months those changes would take years to undo.
3.) Changes in our tax system, and actually allowing some markets to fail would actually JUMP START our economy again.
You've probably never lived through good years as an adult. Any person who worked in the 90's knows that was good times -- retail jobs paying 50k a year for example... now they pay 8 bucks an hour.
There were rough times in the past - and boom times. Cycles happen - - they happen a lot more under the fed.
That's just three things that would change the future - and give my kids one that I'm comfortable passing on.
You must like getting anal probed as you go through the airport. You must like drones watching you from the sky. You must like a government that is rapidly invading and controlling every aspect of your life. You must not care enough to be active or try to change it.... just accept it - and enjoy the outcome.
I don't think you know what that word means.
Been too damn long since I posted this; Seemed the perfect time...It's not the best politician that gets elected, it's the best marketer. How the FUCK is that a public decision?
People are easily swayed by media and marketing. That's why all those big brands are the size they are because they convince the masses that they need materialistic things that they don't need.
All right, tell me how we can run a nation with 350 million+ people and also still be one of the best governments in the world with a small government. Tell me. I'm all ears.Yea, because freedom is such a difficult concept to understand.
Oh boy.All right, tell me how we can run a nation with 350 million+ people and also still be one of the best governments in the world with a small government. Tell me. I'm all ears.
All right, tell me how we can run a nation with 350 million+ people and also still be one of the best governments in the world with a small government. Tell me. I'm all ears.
You write this: I don't think the problem is big vs. small government. The problem is that the government continues to make bad decisions.I don't think the problem is big vs. small government. The problem is that the government continues to make bad decisions. We really need to get rid of all the dirty politicians who are fucking things up.
"The government that governs the least is the one that governs best" <--- some wisdom right there that our current government obviously has no concept of.
Oh boy.
We seem to have ourselves a large-government supporter here fellas! Perhaps a full-on Liberal?
If you're serious Lyova, I'll be happy to help you with that lack of knowledge you've got there. Trust me, it's a huge hole to fill though so we've got to find out first what exactly you're missing. (I doubt you'll get as nice of an offer elsewhere here... This board is chocked full of libertarians with fouler temperaments than I.)
So tell me your political leanings/background (country would be nice too) and I'll be happy to answer with sources/videos/graphs/whatever it takes to bring you up to speed.
I hear you mate, but you're not being realistic. Think this through; No matter what else they do behind closed doors, the establishment has to make their actions look "legitimate." -Which means they have to use methods of getting their way that fly under the radar of the american sheeple.
Yes these sheeple have a combined IQ of a turnip; but a large amount of them are flag waving gun owners who aren't going to be cheated to the degree you are talking about... So the game is allllllll about IF those sheeple see they've been cheated or not.
That is a prime rule in politics that those in charge have had to live with and work around since the first tribes came down from the trees.
Imagine for a moment that the GOP suddenly just announced that the rest of the election was off and Romney is officially announced their candidate "Because they said so." -Do you think that would go over well? Of course not, even sheeple expect their votes to count so we the people would feel this is illegitimate, and do something like march on Washington to get them removed.
Heck, that one fuckup could lead to a bloody war; it would in fact be a nullification of your basic rights as a citizen. Imagine what it would be like if this fraud was properly exposed... They wouldn't just be nullifying your rights; they'd be STEALING them from you to use for themselves! -No one with integrity is going to let that slide. This is the kind of thing that kills whole administrations.
Since the establishment has the MSM on their side (mostly) retaining this illusion hasn't been difficult for them to the past. That changes this year... Here's why:
1. The internet has allowed Paul's message to spread to enough people. His following is simply too big now, possibly 50% of the nation, in fact! (Consider that the revolutionary war was fought by only 12% of the colonists and Paul's army looks pretty impressive all of the sudden.)So, if we put this all together, the vote-fixing fraud WILL BE exposed and SOMETHING will be done about it if the fraud is provable.
2. The GOP is not the whole establishment. The "GOP Part" of the establishment can be scuttled if needs be, and the Liberal part of the establishment has shown plenty of willingness to destroy the GOP part.
3. They dun fucked up in their vote-fixing technique. Apparently they weren't smart enough to hide the algorithm change caused by their technique of vote flipping. Spotting and publicizing that could theoretically be covered up, but is nonetheless DEVASTATING to their overall defense.
4. Most impressively; Paulites will follow him to the 3rd party vote. They feel above this 2-party system and won't vote within it, HOPING for it to fall because it is their worst enemy. Surely the GOP knows this too by now. Even the media has said so on numerous occasions. (Big mistake on their part!)
If you are still convinced that there is some way the GOP part of the establishment can suppress the truth here or override the shitstorm coming their way anyhow, please share it with us as I would be delighted to plan for a way to defeat that, too.
You write this: I don't think the problem is big vs. small government. The problem is that the government continues to make bad decisions.
Then say this: "The government that governs the least is the one that governs best" <--- some wisdom right there that our current government obviously has no concept of.
Let's hear what your policies would be.
lol @ graphs having anything to do with math. You're the idiot.
I'm not a politician bro, but I expect politicians to know the difference between right and wrong and do what's right. Simple as that. Lobbying should be illegal. Drugs should be legalized so we can kiss the black market gang violence goodbye. We should be 100% focused on America, not other countries. The government should focus on its core functions and not try to meddle in everybody's shit. And lastly, they should be able to balance the goddamn books considering how high we are taxed.
That's like asking me which breed of Unicorn has the shortest horn. There are no small government countries excepting only Somalia, but that's not fair to talk about since they are actually under foreign rule and constant external terrorism attack. No, how about you tell me what country has been the absolute most successful in the last 60 years with a "small government".
Same me, cheshire... But in this thread I'm addressing the subject of what Paul's camp can do before the fall to prevent it, while in the Bangkok thread I discussed what to do if it's not prevented.I prefer this LukeP over the run-and-hide LukeP.
Wow.Lobbying is what you do when you talk to a congressman about anything. Lobbying - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary , parents lobby congressman all the time. Lobbying should be legal, but regulated.
What is this? A glimmer of hope?I think all drugs should be decriminalized...
Nahh, you slipped again here. Dammit.I'd rather spend a decent amount of time on America, but also send aid to people in other countries, places like Africa, poorer sections of SEA, and more, should be getting some aid. I DO think that this should be controlled spending, so not dumping however absurd amount of money we are on Israel now.
This part I can agree with; not that we need any taxes in the first place but still it's not that far off from what this country needs right now. Also, I think the tax code should simply be reformed, I'm in favor of a public option and free education (places like Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, continue to have some of the highest testing scores and have better overall GDP compared to the US and also allow for an educated public which can elect better people into office.
Wrongo. We make NO assumptions whatsoever in any way that "the people will voluntarily be good." Your mind is creating our need to assume that but it's the furthest thing from the truth. There is NO NEED for "People to behave" with a small or even NO government. You've been fed a myth.I feel like I'm not answering what I set out to do, but a lot of libertarians are obsessed with this image of a small government doing great things for the people, as the people will voluntarily be good.
Sadly I think you're right that we can't avoid it, not without something drastic like a seastead or moonstead, and perhaps those would only be temp fixes. But as the world gets closer and closer to a global economy (yes, this is going to happen whether anyone likes it or not, it's how the economy in the world is moving towards). So, in this time, here and now, a "large" government is close to necessary to having a much stronger country.
