I'm stoked. Paul could "win" his own state for sure that way.
What's with the "After the first Ballot" thing? I don't see any clarification of what that calls for.
The eventual republican nominee will need to have 50% + 1 of the delegate votes (1144 delegates).
The "first ballot" means what all the delegates are required, by state law, to do at the first vote. Every state is different in their rules, some are majority takes all, some are according to a percentage of popular vote, some are unbound all together and are just whatever the delegate wants.
In the instance that there is no nominee with 1144 votes on the first ballot (which there most assuredly won't be with 4 nominees as they are now) many (maybe most) states allow for a free for all on the second ballot/vote. This is when all the strategically placed RP delegates (having already done their proper delegatory duty according to RNC rules) will swing all their votes towards Ron Paul.
This is the delegate strategy that's been going on for the last couple of months. And why he actually does have a chance.

I agree, no one is 1/2 as organized as Paul's delegates, and ppl are going to be SRSLY surprised at the results in Tampa... But I temper it with the knowledge that the GOP has already found FOUR (4) distinctive, different ways to commit vote fraud so far this season. What's one more in Tampa?

There's alot of potential road blocks ahead for Ron Paul which can be discouraging... until you realize how many he's gotten through already in the last 30 years.
