Classy Atlanta Fans

They need to change the wild card playoff to a three game series. It does not seem right to play 162 games to get into the playoffs and then be one and done. Having the wild card team begin the divisional series at home is pretty lame too.

I agree, it's pretty harsh. If they get good ratings who knows. However baseball needs more than one game.

I'm not a Braves fan either - fuck the Cardinals.

If you finish 2nd or 3rd in your division or league, you haven't really made the playoffs.

At first I was down on this new system, because I'm kind of a purist, and I like the idea of "you win the division or you GTFO", so the old wild card system bothered me, but this new one, where there's actually a penalty if you don't win the division seems right to me.

I don't think that a team that finishes 2nd or 3rd best should be able to waltz into the postseason with the same advantages as a team that busted it out all year to win their division.

The problem with that line of thought is the inequality between divisions. Its not uncommon for a second place team in one division to be better than the winner of another.
