Nice little income he had going on there, but uhm...not worth it in the end.

I second that.Yeah the punishment is WAY too harsh, I agree.

I think there needs to be a happy median between the U.S. and some of the countries here in Europe. Here in northern Europe we tend to be WAY too nice to prisoners. Rapists, murderers and pedophile fucks get like a slap on the wrist with 4-5 years in prison (even less if they claim "insanity", which is easy to fake). That is a disgrace and a spit in the face to the victims. The prisons here are also more like nice motels with tv, your own computer and shit. What a joke. I've read inmates say they are happy in prison because it's the best life they have ever had(!) And since they will get out in short time, they will want to commit a new crime so they can get back to the sweet prison life! Sad but true.
But in the U.S. it seems sometimes people get life in prison or 30+ yrs. for stealing an apple. 30 years for running an online drugstore? Come on... Make the guy do some useful unpaid community service for the poor and elderly or something since he appearantly has some brains. It's not like he raped and strangled some kids - like the punishment makes it sound like.
30 years sounds about right, and it wasn't just about "running an online pharmacy." He threatened one of the witnesses and asked about hiring a hitman to have here killed. After he got in trouble the first time he just opened another pharmacy and tried to hide money.
I don't know where he got his drugs from, but generally they are produced by unlicensed factories. People are sick and need real medications, if something is messed up they could die. Granted, if it was all viagra or cialis its not such a big deal. Either way its a good business to stay far away from.
Smith admitted that he got his wife, his father, his mother and stepfather to help conceal cash from the government, having them wrap $100,000 bundles in plastic and hide them in cereal boxes. Smith admitted concealing about $1.1 million this way.
What's your point, Andrew? The guy is just a baby- face, he's not gonna survive in prison.
Naw, he's probably going to go to some minimum security prison. Basically a country club...
As someone previously mentioned people could have been hurt by his products. Now imagine what time he would be doing if he was selling crack...White collar criminals get off way easy.
