Yoyogi Park on Sundays is good:
Tokyo: 10 Things to Do — 4. Yoyogi Park - TIME
I would do more of Omotesando and that area in the same day.
Early morning or late night go to Tsukiji:
Tokyo: 10 Things to Do — 1. Tsukiji Fish Market - TIME
Get to the fish market at 5am, watch a real tuna auction, and then have the freshest sushi in the world right there for breakfast.
Been up the skytree yet? How long you going to be in town, bro?
How do you like tokyo? For some reason I always wanted to go there. After watching tokyo drift I found the city fascinating, no clue why. I don't even like drifting and all that.
It's almost like any other big cities except that there are no homeless people (I've only seen 1-2 and they were recyling, not panhandling). The public transportation is super-effecient, people are super-nice and polite (try to make an effor to speak Japanese), only downside is nothing is in English but you can point to things on the menu for the most part.
Rent is kinda expensive, I'm paying USD 1.7k/mo for a single room in a 3BR share-house but the location is pretty central so it's whatever.
You should definitely come check it out! You'll get overwhelmed at first but that's the fun part.
oh, and the toilet will have a dryer so your anus stay dry.
For some reason I imagine tokyo a big party city. I can see the clubs being mad crazy and people getting really into it. I think I'm still imagining the movie tokyo drift, lol.
How long have you been living there? You also said people there are friendly, are you asian? I'm not but find the city to be interesting to visit.
Shinjuku at night is awesome. Check out harajuku/akihabara its pretty interesting.
Roppongi at night to pick up women.
Do you want to pick up women, or enjoy the culture ( visit temples, etc)?
What about the language barrier? I guess you would need a decent grasp on Japanese to be able to pick up local girls?
Going to be in Tokyo next summer after a bit of Thailand and Australia.
Local girls will be difficult IMO, local girls that like foreign-men will be hanging out at Roppongi though but if you're going to Roppongi it's very dangerous to go alone at night, people have been drugged and robbed right next to the police station, anyway, there's plenty of "gaijin-girls" to go around if you're not shy i.e: foreign-students. As a matter of fact I got a date with this English girl this Sunday haha. Might get lucky.![]()
