Shark Tank episode 8

It was plain ugly! "Yay I am taking a picture of you and sending to the INternet thanks to T-MObile!"

What did you guys think of the T-Mobile advertising in last night's episode? lol I think that was the most blatant one yet.

Probably the cheesiest plug I've ever seen in my life. It really made me want to just stop watching the show altogether. In fact, with the way the show seems to be going this season, that's probably what will end up happening.

This. God, that is the most cringe worthy thing I have ever seen. And I cannot believe Mr. Wonderful got involved. Disgusting!

One thing I don't get though. You constantly see pitches from people saying they just started selling 6 weeks ago, or 3 months ago, or whatever. How does that work? Isn't there at least a couple auditions you have to go through, and probably months of waiting, before you're actually standing infront of the investors?

They purposely let these guys through as bait for the sharks to add drama to the show

So that means the producers keep tabs on hundreds, if not thousands of start ups?

I've noticed this on Dragons Den even more. Sometimes people will say they've only been selling for a couple weeks, or the website will launch next week, etc. So that means when these people went in for their first audition, they were barely even in the concept stage, because it must take at least 3 months between submitting an application to get an audition and the day of filming.

So do the producers just keep tab on hundreds or thousands of these guys, then a week or two before filming check up on their status, and pick a few? Or are some of the pitches simply not even real, and just made up for our entertainment?

Is it just me or did they get rid of the T-mobile and famous face plug in this episode? Maybe I missed it.

I have a friend who was offered to go on shark tank (in exchange for 5% equity). He eventually declined - they're growing quite fine without the help of some sharks, with products in whole foods and such.

This week sucked - I love the netflix model but for fucking ties - are you kidding me? I didn't even know people spent $100+ on a tie.

I quite like that the up loader (fooledbyrandomess) is pitching his own products in the description though. Gotta respect that hustle.

I'm wondering if the producers are the same for Shark Tank and Dragons Den Canada, because Dragons Den sucked this week too. Eyelashes for cars? Fuck off.

Either the producers are trying too hard, or they simply ran out of decent entrepreneurs.

My jaw hit the floor when I saw Tietry. Instantly thought of that episode of The Leauge. Taco had the same idea...Neckflix.

For anyone interested, the last episode of Dragons Den was pretty decent:
