Charles Krauthammer responded on Special Report tonight saying, “The Ukrainians, and I think everybody, is shocked by the weakness of Obama’s statement. I find it rather staggering.”

Krauthammer thinks Obama’s statement is about “three levels removed” from actual action. He explained: Obama said “we will stand with the international community — meaning we are going to negotiate with a dozen other countries who will water down the statement — in affirming that there will be costs — meaning in making a statement not even imposing a cost, but in making a statement about imposing a cost — for any military intervention.”

“What he’s saying is we’re not really going to do anything and we’re telling the world,” Krauthammer said.
 
Putin, much like "the honey badger" doesn't give a shit. He's maintaining Russia's sphere of influence. Too bad Obama doesn't know how to take a stand.
 
Well, what exactly would he like Obama to do? Start WWIII? Because that's probably exactly what would happen if US soldiers stepped foot on Ukranian soil.

US won't even touch Syria, let alone Ukraine.

I think it's pretty clear by now that the majority of the world outside of the United States' little bubble thinks that Obama is a joke. No balls whatsoever.
 
Sure as shit stinks, the US should stay the hell out of Ukraine but Obama could do more to counter Russia's negative influence in other countries' affairs.

Ummm, but the US has... there's missile defense systems online now through Eastern Europe and the Middle East that could be easily used to turn Moscow into a parking lot.

Plus the US has beefed up forces in the pacific, but I guess that's more of a show of force against China than Russia.

Still not sure what you guys expect the US to do about Ukraine. Run in with 100,000+ soldiers, and spread some freedom?
 
Didn't Barrack Hussein Obamacare give a speech earlier today warning of consequences if Russia did this? As I recall, it was moments before he started joking about the nuge and having a good chuckle at the idea of nuclear war.

We're already in the Ukraine, who do you think pushed to start the civil conflict on the first place?
 
This is not maintaining spheres of influence, this is petty vandalism revenge.

Losing Moldova but persisting in Transnistria, losing Georgia but "avenging" with South Osetia, now losing Ukraine but now doing the Crimea shitmove. The mutant chicken is just an old clown.

I hate to break it to you, but missile defense systems are for DEFENSE, and are quite different from the nuclear tipped ICBMs they are designed to shoot down.

I've been listening to the audio book The Rise And Fall Of The Third Reich off and on for months now. When I saw the news an hour ago I couldn't help but think that there were some definite similarities to how Hitler got started (back before he was killing Jews by the millions).

I highly recommend this book for everyone. It was really eye opening and gives some insights into these political games.
FYI when I met Simon Black this is the one book that he said was the most influential for him.
