Your Worst Financial Situation and How You Emerged From It

Man, lots of old threads being resurrected lately. Dat search function. Are we being nostalgic all of a sudden?

Worst financial situation ever? Mom was feeding us Oodles and Noodles one night. This was a typical night for us. I says, "Mom, it's time for you to feed us some lobster. Fuck dis Oriental Noodles shit." So she took us to Red Lobster. Turned my shit around that night. The power of suggestion.

Nope, just a bunch of fuckstick new users that have never used forums before, apparently.

yeah, you go get them crazy newbies, you old seasoned veteran. protect those of us that have been here since before April.

Was making 60k a month selling SEO packages to wickedfire members before a dick competitor came in and sabotaged everything I was doing by attacking my network.

Went from 60k a month to 3k a month almost over night. Lost a house, car, and confidence.

Found a partner that helped fund a business venture that turned out to be a 2 year waste of time because neither of us had the right toolset to take the business higher. He later tried to sue me for made up damages and lost.

Found another partner with the right toolset and mentality to grow our business into something crazy big and we're well underway.

How did I get there?

- By taking the emotion out of failing
- By Failing again
- By doing things I hated to do (financial analysis, swot analysis, etc.), but needed to do
- By cutting back on stupid stuff (eating out, clothes, movies)
- By finding a mentor with an MBA (via linkedin)
- Smart Partnerships

good luck bros

And here i was thinking finally a thread i could contribute to... Ah well.:conehead:

Why wouldn't you? If the thread is old that doesn't mean it's not relevant anymore.

I never understood thethe hatred of resurrections of old threads

The show goes on

Good stuff in here. Scared of failing. At least the thread pushed up still relevant.

The worst thing that happens to me is when Google bans another account. Make $2-3k a day and then right down to ZERO, thanks to the big G. That's happened several times but I continue to rebuild it. I'm either relentless or just a fucking idiot to continue to deal with there shit.

So yeah I've experienced some shitty times in business, but I've always managed my personal money good for the most part so never really had a bad personal fiance situation. Like not being able to pay rent, bills, food or any of that shit.

Kind of scary because almost everyone has a bad personal finance time and I haven't had mine yet...so it will probably happen sometime in the near future. FML.

Oh man. If only you knew what would happen in the near future :(

RIP

Anyway, my worst financial situation was when I was making $20k a day, and one day I only made $2k. I put a gun to my mouth and wanted to blow my brains out because of the peasant levels I had succumbed to.

People don't hate the resurrection of old threads. They just hate themselves so much that they project their own self-hatred onto their surroundings.

Holy Shit

Most of the time when money is not following in I feel financially drained or when too much money comes in and I miss fast-food outlet visits. I know 1 friend of mine who lost all his Affiliate websites except his personal website when his wife deleted everything on his server and PC except his personal Websites.

One time when I was like 16 I was at El Pollo Loco with my friend and we were high as fuck. We ordered a bunch of food and then realized neither of us had nearly enough money. But we figured out what we did have and got like some tortillas and a drink I think.

Took my 2k bankroll and tried to grow it through sports gambling. Doubled it to 4k and then lost it all.

Looking at a year rebuilding period now at my shitty 9-5.

Despite my $150k loss, I am working on recovering and building a healthy and long-term sustainable bank roll as well as devising plans and masterminding ways I can make it grow exponentially. I am currently working on about 30-40 projects right now but about 5 or 6 of them with higher than priority than the rest.

Nope it's actually still the same IMO. Last time one of ours tracking codes got copied by a spammer he was hitting 50-100k visitors a day to his/our lander by the end of his "campaign" which easily translates to $15k+/day

We were able to reverse engineer his technique pretty easily and it's amusing to see what kind of old school techniques still work.

So, did you end up paying him?

That was me. I'm new around here and found this old thread very interesting. I've been in a fair amount of debt myself so I know what it feels like.
