how long do you plan on holding these trades? (hour, days?)

Anywhere from 2-8 days on these journal positions. I'll mention % allocation on each. Peak to trough DD as the journal progresses. I work out of a home office in Lake Tahoe.

Generally there are liquidity arbs available in the Jap session in my primary market (FX exotics). I will post retail indications from binary.com. I use it at work to quote fairval on simple KO positions as the granularity is to the pip and dollar-notional.

I actually trade on binary.com "on the side" via local machines in the EU and Asia; as well as VPS in larger markets (London). I have EU nationals hold the accounts for me (local IPs) and I fund and do a split on gains. I am a Swede and have a few familial accounts in my native country. Cannot trade retail KOs from the USA unless you establish it offshore.

Two hours until FX KOs are available.

Are thse trades funded with Facebook ad monies?

He is not 22y old.

But you remember Altavista, Lycos and how they all was called?
You really believed that "Google just released a better SE and they all vanished" story?

For hedging positions.

What purpose, really, does a retail "investor" or aspiring day trader have to enter the world of options besides the thrill of gambling?

We all start somewhere. A co-worker of mine at Paloma (was fired for poor performance) started trading at BOM (binary.com) some 12 years ago. He amassed a few 100K on the site before moving to legit bank offerings (UBS). He started with $12K, IIRC. So a 25-fold return in the first two years of trading retail.

He was a failed long/short equity trader who amassed >$100MM organically in FX and equity exotics in just over a decade. Organically meaning not a penny of outside funds.

For most of you; no purpose whatsoever. Don't subscribe. My greatest returns (%-wise, not notional) were as a "retail trader."

There's way too much jargon in these threads for me to have any idea what's going on, but I'll be monitoring anyway.

Good luck!

Sorry about the jargon, but feel to post for an explanation or via PM. FWIW, I don't understand word-one of these internet marketing terms.

I've had someone PM asking about the spreadsheet headings. It's simply 25-delta risk-reversal indications (skew curvature in $). I'll try to get into it later, but I consult with pros and they get first shot at analytics. The columns on the right are verboten.

All if it should be considered proprietary, but I wanted to give those familiar a place to start. I am not trying to be obtuse, but I wanted to show something of value before trading begins for the week.

Also, I am willing to take any prop-action from regulars; on outright performance (marked to mid on vanillas/exchange options) or the offer on the exotics. If you think I'll fail to achieve a positive return <or> meet some return metric, then feel free to propose a wager in BTC-terms. All trades will be reflected in the screen-captures.

Much of my income is in large-figure prop-betting. Feel free to pay for my kids private education.

Okay so no idea what you said in the OP??

I am interested in trading and have only ever done some fx and commodity type stuff.

Where's a good place to learn and get an understanding of what you are even saying? Any books/sites you recommend?

So, just to check, you are not looking to make $100k from $10k?

You cannot trade knockouts on retail brokers like TD ameritrade, am I right they only have vanilla options , the kind that suck.

I once had an option strategy that would involve going long volatility using deep ITM calls and puts..vol. smile ruined my day

I am going to trade listed vanillas too. US markets are close until Tuesday. There is no vol-exposure in deep ITM options. You're all-delta in those. A 90D SPX call at 18% reflects less than $1 in premium at 30-days.

YOU CAN trade KOs at a variety of dealers in the EU. I do it through "proxies" and I am a dual-national. They don't give a shit about my citizenship; I cannot login from the USA, period. I still get it done. I can walk anyone through the process. Just ask.

I gotta watch the kids in the pool so I can't post any screenshots until ~2300hrs EDT. All exotics and vanillas can be verified either on the site or via listed quotes.
