But, one thing I have learned is that looks can be deceiving, and some of the dumbest shit can convert the best. I know this, because I have made some really dumb shit, and while they haven't been my best performers, they can still turn a profit.

I think we can all agree that we have people with varying levels of intelligence here, and not everyone who visits here registers or posts either. So, there are probably quite a few unregistered visitors here that would fall for shit like that.

Is it really that unfathomable that if the person running that campaign maybe turned a profit at WaFo, they would try to run it at a place like WF as well?

If I was running that campaign, I would probably try to do the same thing.

All of the above is unlikely, but I have learned that my assumptions, along with many other peoples assumptions about the performance of a campaign (especially in the make money niche) can be very, very, very wrong, even when everything I know tells me otherwise.

That guy may be killing it...who knows.

At the end of the day, peoples perceptions (especially who aren't the target audience) of a campaign don't really matter, the data and stats do.

That's all, but whatever... maybe I am misinterpreting the point of this thread. Wouldn't be the first time.

So you are saying it is a good idea to rip a banner and LP, and try to make a media buy in the same place the banner and LP are currently running on?

Well, if it was in my niche, if it had been running for a little while, and I saw some elements in the banner/on the LP that I have not tested before or were not part of my current campaign, what's the harm in spending a few minutes ripping it, doing a small buy and collecting data?

The cost isn't that much and I may learn some things that I can implement on my current campaigns or include in future campaigns.

Competitive intelligence = profitz if done right...

Edit: At worst, you can run the media buy/campaign, collect the data, compile it together with a few data from a few other ripped campaigns, and sell it to other marketers at "research"
 
Guys I can confirm that this ad is legit. I already have made 4 months before I reached the 14 day mark. The 14 day rule gives them this awesome competitive edge that I've never seen before.

You aren't getting how insanely stupid your suggestion is. Explaining it would defeat the purpose. Having not read things and then making your post of advertising on WaFo was way less damning than your clarification. I can't believe it, but I was actually assuming people are less stupid than they could be. I hadn't even fathomed your post was as stupid as it was.

This isn't even an affiliate marketing thing; it is basic fucking common sense.

Your suggestion is so stupid, you'd have a hard time actually discovering the ramifications of your suggestion, since it is so badly conceived it couldn't take off.

But anyway, I wish you luck in your niche. Hopefully it is too fucking small for anyone with a minimum degree of intelligence to want to come in and compete with you, because you'd get raped out of it in a heartbeat based on your display of understanding of the business world.

Thank you for proving my suspicion that given the shift in user demographics, guru banners will now have a higher ROI on WF than aff network and SAAS banners. Sad indeed.

I think your only saving grace at this point is to explain how you were high/drunk at the time of writing and therefore not thinking.

You see, in the past, I would have kept on going on and on, defending my point of view.

But a while back, I realized something...

This is the internet. This is not real life.

I am not going to sit here and argue with someone/something called "Galacon" or "Fatbat" or "Greenleaves" or whatever. Because as I stated in one of my previous posts, I don't really care what some anonymous person on the internet says anymore. In the past, I would have...but I have definitely learned the hard way that it's just a waste of time and energy.

If you think I am cowering away from criticism, then so be it. Because you know what? Who cares. I don't have some kind of online ego that I need to protect or prove on a site where pictures of black naked chicks with dicks is a common occurrence.

If you think what I am doing is wrong, then don't do it...
