My affiliate manager at a rather prominent network does not know what scrubbing (based on traffic quality) is. When I complained about it on an offer she said she never heard of anything like that and will "investigate".

Rather then embarrassing the AM/Network take my message: TRAIN YOUR FUCKING AFFILIATE MANAGERS.

</Rant>

I don't care if you're being sarcastic or not but I guess I should have said he's the only AM that has worked with me that I thought knew anything :P Eddie from Copeac and Michael B. from az are good too

I mean a lot of AMs just talk to you about offers and tell you to push. None of them really get involved, giving you ideas etc. Some AMs, when you ask them "how's this converting, should I try it?" wont give you an honest answer. It's always... "its converting, you'll be profitable!".

Geoff over at Advaliant will also tell you whatever you want to know.

I can also vouch for Mike B. he is good.

The only one? I beg to differ. Last I checked I knew a thing or two.

Also, Richard is a great guy and he definitely knows the backend of things and mailing well.

oops! :bowdown::bowdown:

Haven't signed up for ADS4DOUGH yet ;)

but yeah you see, not a lot of AMs are you like where they taste our side of the business.

Does the network rhyme with NeverBlue? Of course, in the short time I've been with them, I've had 5 different AM's, only one of which sent out an into email.

Yeah it's gotta be NB. I had one offer that I tested across 4 networks and the advertiser was def scrubbing it hard after about a week regardless of which network I moved it. The scrubbing may have been necessary because they didn't like one of my traffic sources (they finally admitted that much at least in a sort of round about way) which I can understand but I HATE when they just start automatically scrubbing it rather than just letting you know quality is a problem and trying to work it out somehow instead.

Anyway, 3 of the networks took the time to go through it and try to get to the bottom of it except for my NB AM who basically shrugged their shoulders and basically told me oh well and acted like they barely knew what I was talking about and had never heard of such a thing.

You know nothing don't lie. :bowdown:

Anyway not knowing what scrubbing is in general is sad for an AM. If I where you I would seriously think of either switching or asking for a different one. No offense on your AM I am sure they are a good person. If you cannot come to them with questions though thats sad.

AM's come and go all of the time, but not knowing what "Scub" means is... wow.

maybe they thought you were talking about Zach Braff? :)

AM's should know what scrubbing is. You may want to request a change, since thats pretty basic.

Doug from CPAEmpire is a great AM too.

Maybe they thought you were talking about toilet bowl cleaner.

There's a pretty recent "no scrub" discussion somewhere, and the majority said that it's bullshit.

I agree, you shouldn't have to train your affiliate manager. :eek:
