Scholarship offers on facebook

I did scholarship facebook ads for a while and did pretty well (50%+ ROI). They are starting to die down now but as school starts they might have a chance to pick back up again.

As for your ad, definitely change the picture to something else! a smiling student or something other than that boring text image. Secondly, your ad copy is far too long. Shorten it and make it much more simple. Finally, target college students and it's not even necessary to go up to 24 years old.

hope that helps.

i've run that offer quite a while back and that advertiser seemed SHADY to me. I truly believe they scrub the hell out of it. I would start with awesome conversions and they would dwindle down to just about nothing.

OK, sorry for having my head up my ass for the last few months (apparently) but I thought you couldn't run CPA shit on FB anymore??

i'm suprised that ad was approved. any that say "free" in mine get rejected

Yeah, a lot of mine with the word free got disapproved but once I started to write exactly what the user had to do to get what was being offered in the ad copy, my ads consistently were approved.

You guys are retarded.

If you can't get this offer to convert, you should rethink who you are targeting and how you are targeting these tardos signing up for this. When I first started running these scholarship ads, I had click prices set ass high, and was breaking even. I've got them all at .10$ or less now, and get click through rates from .1% to 1%... yup... 1% on a campaign that has been running for about a month now.

So even if 40 clicks don't convert, I've only lost 4 bucks... But i get it to convert. I make about 200 - 300% on these.

You guys just suck.

There's only a 50 page thread on it and 50 posts on many different blogs about facebook ads. Yeah, I guess you can't.

Come on...

my 300% roi campaign of three days just flopped and made only 1 conversion yesterday and none today =\ i hope the advertiser didnt decide to start shaving leads =\

Maybe you guys are right. After making some changes to the ad, I was getting some decent conversions and now the offer just stopped converting.

Well then maybe you should stop running and contact your AM to tell them their offer is fucking you over. Maybe they can point you in the right direction. My scholarship ads convert like cake, don't get scrubbed, and don't bring in a shit load of money, but the few extra dollars it makes me pays my rent and food for the month.

They also have very high CTR.

You guys are just thinking too big when you do your targeting. None of those have a huge amount of impressions, because they aren't 3 million 18 - 24 year olds that I am targeting. Think small, get creative, and stay relevant = conversions, biatch!

You can thank me later

The rent in Bangkok is what? 43 cents per month?

300 - 400 with electrity... actually the room is only 200 dollars a month, and most everyone else pays 30 more dollars for electricity and water in their rooms...

this is why it costs 100 - 200 dollars a month more for me.

1 hog of a desktop, 1 hog of a notebook, 32 in tv, logitech speakers, printer on the ground, wireless router (you're prolly thinking wtf about that one cause the computers are within reach of the router... notebook wireless card went out and all those shitty peripherals for the bus slot die within 1 week... they blocked my routers IP though because i never password protected it, so I have to steal passwords for other's access to the network and connect in A/P mode)

And then there is the air conditioning that i leave on 24/7.

I also believe I'm the only one living here in a room alone, most everyone else has room mates (its 2 minutes away from my university and a thai student university). I'll be moving out once I save up about 100k - 200k for a condo that would cost atleast 1 million in america :p

Honestly, any shitty affiliate marketer could make 50 dollars a day trying his hardest for the rest of their life, move here, and live fucking decent. 100 dollars a day makes me a king.

Yup... I'm expanding my scholarship offers on facebook. Domination. 30 more ads created... about 1000 to go... seriously

It all boils down to how much ROI you're satisfied with man. For me, less targeting for a larger market is better than niche audiences with higher ROIs. I'm one of those that goes for high volume with lower margins; I'm willing to sacrifice my ROI for more 'cash' in my pocket. Even so, very well done with your CTR on some of those creatives.

^^^----yes. ftw.
Small groups are fickle. They get tired of certain ads. Big groups? not as much.
And I don't want to have a series of ads that all die 100% after over saturation. I'd prefer a large, stable demo that can keep making money while I work elsewhere. With ads goign up and and down all the time you reach a definite time bottleneck.
