Sorry about the trouble with Neverblue.com this weekend. We were experiencing a very high level of traffic on our database and that is what caused these errors.
So if you grow and your affiliates push more and more clicks to your server, you don't have a plan in place to scale with the traffic? Too many db connections ... that's what caused the downtime? You've got to be kidding me. Monitor that shit!
The problem has been resolved and no tracking was lost.
What about the offers that went to your servers and showed a white page and never fired off the tracking pixel ... that's obviously lost traffic but I see no mention of that in your post. If you're going to take responsibility do it, we don't do 1/2 truths around here.
I'm coming across as a grumpy ex and I get that, but I only push a small amount of my traffic through neverblue ... this doesn't give me incentives to push more.
I have to totally agree with bb. You've got money, fix your problems. It's just hosting and can be a non-issue for almost nothing compared to the revenue you guys rake in. Affiliates depend on your offers being up, if your servers are the weak link in the chain, we can always replace it with something stronger.
I know it was just 20 minutes or so, and if that was a normal site I would have no emotion attached to it. 20 minutes for a site that pushes the traffic that you guys do, that's $1000's in lost sales for the whole.
