"Boy A"

Great film with a clear story. Some of the dialogue is difficult to understand because of heavy accents. But, wow. If you have time to watch it, it's worth the ride.

Rating: 8

just saw slumdog millionaire. great film very inspiring and eye opening. i also got forced to watch WALL•E over the holiday with the GF. and just yesterday for the 10,000th time I watched The Jerk - classic.

"First I get my name in the phone book and now I'm on your ass. You know, I'll bet more people see that than the phone book"

In theaters - Seven Pounds. Reviews from movie critics haven't been amazing, but I thought it was. I have a thing for Smith, though, so perhaps I'm biased.

At home - Stepbrothers, which was funny enough, and Tropic Thunder before that. Didn't care for the latter, but my boyfriend loved it.

In the theaters was Slumdog Millionare. I really liked the childhood scenes of India...but it got boring after a while

At home was Good Will Hunting, an excellent movie that I enjoyed for that ..10th+ time

Over the weekend I just saw a great film called Man on Wire. It's a documentary about some insane fucker who tight rope walked across the top of the twin towers in the 70's.

It was an excellent film and really inspirational in some ways.

At the cinema: Yes Man
Surprisingly good, actually. Carey sorta slips into his crappy old self from Mask a couple of times, but for the most part, he's The Truman Show good.
The ending scene is fucking hilarious, and the seminar guy really reminds me of people like Mike Filsaime (that's not a good thing, btw)

At home: eXistenZ
If you don't like David Cronenberg movies, you suck. Nuff said.
This came out just after The Matrix, so almost no one saw it, and everyone said it was a knock off. It wasn't, and it was actually far superior, and more realistic of a VR scenario in my opinion.

Recently caught David Lynch's 'Blue Velvet' on DirecTV one night. Came out in 1986 but I had never seen it. Gotta be Dennis Hopper's best performance. This is some twisted shit - go rent this movie.

Last couple were Righteous Kill (so, so - way too predictable) & Iris (very sad, but a great film with brilliant acting)
