Athiesm vs Judaism

It's amazing just how ignorant you are about Atheism. You are probably an atheist towards 99.9% of all Gods, atheists just go one further. Oh, and if you want to start with the pics, here's a good one:

Then you admit both require faith.

Atheism requires no faith. Big bang and evolution has nothing to do with atheism like you seem to think.

But yes, it requires faith to blindly believe that the big bang theory is the only possible explanation for this universe to have started.... Not that any scientist holds that position though.

Rusky doesn't answer questions about his ridiculous statements, most likely cause he knows they're ridiculous and CAN'T answer them.

Could you answer my other question and also explain what you mean by this? You don't seem to be making sense at all.

I believe Rusky is referring to design and fine tuning as well.

Let me quickly elaborate. I find it exceedingly unlikely that there would be a lawlike universe of matter composed of simple parts that could just happen by random chance. But such a universe is what we would expect to find if there were a designer God who values beauty, simplicity, and who wishes to create a challenging environment for his human creations. The existence of the fine-tuning is not improbable under theism. However the existence of the fine-tuning is very improbable under the atheistic single-universe hypothesis.

From an atheistic perspective, we can say this all happened by chance. Now the mathematical probability of that is...

My 2 cents.

The worst thing about it is I bet that he is so deluded that he actually doesn't know that they are ridiculous.

Still curious as to why the OP titled the thread "atheism vs judaism." If that were his intentions then my arguments should be coming from the OT

Life requires life. Like a forest fire needs a spark.

It doesn't come from nothing. Even something like a cell. I should also mention DNA - code which is specific to each species (so even after thousands on new dog breed created its still a dog not a new species) I dont even want to get into DNA lets just keep it simple.

Back in the old days when everybody was religions and thought the earth was flat. People also used to believe that when you leave a piece of meat out and let it spoil. Maggots would magically appear out of thin air in the meat. Then this guys come along Francesco Redi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia proves spontaneous generation is BS.
Then Louis Pasteur - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia put the final dagger in spontaneous generation. Boil soup, kill all life, seal air, and no more life; unless you introduce other life.

Some people still believe in God like in the old days, but other believe in magical maggots like in the old days.

Some believe aliens brought first life to this planet. Make your choice.

Dont really want to get attached to this tread. If you get were I going good. If you dont then I just dont care.
Time is of the essence.

"You can make contact with the Infinite through the medium of your thought. You can sit down quietly and think of God as boundless love, infinite intelligence, absolute harmony, indescribable beauty and absolute joy and dwell on these attributes and qualities. As you do this, you will experience a transfusion of God's grace and an effulgence of light and love. In this way YOU are the Holy of Holies - the Presence of God WITHIN you. All creeds and liturgies, as well as intercessors are removed and you experience YOUR personal fellowship with God" - [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Power-Your-Subconscious-Mind/dp/160459201X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1233305866&sr=8-2"]Dr. Joseph Muphy[/ame] - red-wine drinking, once-divorced, PHD, chemist, ex-catholic Priest and one of the wisest of men to walk the earth...

GET RID OF THIS IDEA OF SOME OLD ASS GUY SURROUNDED BY ANGLES IN THE SKY.
LOOK WITHIN....
EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS WITHIN....

Grab a martini, a joint or whatever chills you out and recognize the infinite power, intelligence and beauty that's all within....

Ok that's all I have to say -just shooting the shit ;)

Nobody is saying it happened by random chance (except the ignorant). We don't know how the Universe came to be, so that would be a ridiculous claim, but I don't see how it is any more ridiculous then claiming that a super natural being created us.

You see, neither religious people or atheists know, but religious people claim to know without any evidence. Atheists simply say 'I don't know, but I have no reason to believe that there is a God because there is no evidence to support it'.

The thing is, even if there was a one in a billion chance of a planet having the conditions which have the capacity for life and life actually coming to be, there would still be an insane amount of instances of life in the Universe.

First of all, you didn't answer either of my questions. Secondly, if you think 'it doesn't come from nothing', then surely you must apply the same logic to God?

This entire post is so outrageously illogical and just plain wrong it's quite amazing.

He won't directly respond to what I've said to him either. He is the epitome of "blind faith." He serves as a fine example for the religious to learn from.

I really dont see anybody bringing anything solid to this; but usually see the same people pointing out what they think is wrong with what I say.
Like I said Believing in a designer is my belief.
If you think we came from monkeys thats your belief. (prove otherwise if its a fact dont just talk shit) I dont want to get involved so make it short and to the point.

xentech - What are you talking about?

I'm an Atheist as is my wife and most of my family. Atheism isn't a religion in any sense of the word. We don't organize ourselves. It's also not the belief in nothing. That's absurd. I'm an atheist because I look at the natural world and like to question logically why things are the way they are and how that happened. I'm an avid reader of theoretical physics as well as many other types of science. Our universe and planet is amazing, but that doesn't mean some magical guy was in the clouds beaming it all into existence. That's just silly. It's a story you tell a child that is incapable of understanding the reality of things. Will we ever know with 100 percent certainty the origins of the universe? probably not, but the science behind the research is a lot more sound than the made up stories religion provides. Atheism to me = common sense. We're all adults, it's time to put the childrens books and fairy tales away ;)
