eAdvertising - Still not paid

I'd actually be interested to hear this: Tell me an efficient way to (between 2 completely different companies) match up an assload of sales, many of which got charged back, so that you can tell which affiliate sent which lead(even though one system likely doesnt even store affiliate data), and which leads are still subscribed. Now find a way to do it where all you have is the affiliate's ID #, and you don't violate the aff's privacy. Then comes the fun of collecting the money from the merchant, who I'd wager is pretty damn occupied with customer service/getting the orders out/doing whatever the fuck it is they do to keep those merchant accounts alive. Oh yeah, and every day it takes to do any of this, more and more sales hit recurring. Having fun yet?

Very good point man, although both are pretty valid. Companies shouldn't make claims that they're going to pay residuals on sales unless they've planned ahead for it and will actually credit affiliates where its due. They used it as an incentive for affiliates and in return their volume probably grew much faster than expected. If they couldn't handle the volume and overall workload they shouldn't have used tactics like that in the first place or should have pulled the residuals once they realized it.

I definitely agree with you about not expecting the money though, I wasn't planning on seeing it but instead considered it more of a bonus for running the offer. If anyone was actually depending on the residuals for staying profitable I suggest reworking your overall tactics in the future.

Your logic is faulty.

I'm crying a river for power 500 and their administrative problems.

I'm not in the back office of power 500, I have my own problems to contend with, as do we all. It's the network that made the promises. The networks trying to round up producing affiliates.

I sent traffic there in October, I never got any residuals. I'm sure a few fat ladies haven't even looked at their credit card statements yet.
My logic is not faulty. Everyone knows that these acai companies are an administrative mess. So what, did you expect that almost universal reality to change in this one case simply because the almighty you were involved? Sorry bud, doesn't work like that.

Either way, I agree it's been a considerable amount of time, and they probably should be in by now. But they're not, and when it all comes down to it you didn't bother to find out why, which makes your bitching completely ineffective. You'll notice the person who started this thread actually talked to the company to find out what was going on. That failed, so the public complaint was a last resort. You didn't do this. Instead you hopped in and hijacked the thread without any actual content.
If a merchant is watching its back-end quality (to avoid something like people throwing incentive traffic at an Acai offer), they should be collecting affiliate ID and sub-ID in their back-end system. Even when brokering out offers, most tracking data can be passed through a sub-id system. It should be easy for the merchant to pull a report of the current orders for a month, and see what affiliates and sub-ids were responsible for the recurring orders. It might take an extra month or so to wait for chargebacks, but it can definitely be tracked.

I know that Singlesnet tracks network quality on a level including affiliate and sub-id used, as Singlesnet went to Azoogle about a year ago asking them to have me not continue to send traffic where one sub-id was being used, but that I could increase traffic to another sub-id that was converting better in the back-end.

If I was designing a tracking system for a merchant that dealt with leads or free trial sales, I would make sure to capture all available data that was passed on.
Singlesnet is lead based rather than sale based, so they have to track quality to a higher degree. I'm not saying power 500 tracks this much information or that much information; I don't know. What I am saying is that there's a lot of computer/tech related issues that always should be easy to handle, and I've yet to encounter one that actually is. Shit happens.

If it takes too much longer, I'll be right up there with everyone else getting pissy, but some leniency is required here for the time being imo.

I'm still waiting for my referrals and reoccurring commissions. I find it insulting with all the people I referred and money I sent.

Yeah, I'm one of them. I'm just barely over the payment threshold but you'd think they would pay out on time.

To be clear here, we are part of a large public company and we can not send money out without a W9. Same issue as the original poster. No W9. No payment. Sorry to be so anal about stuff like that. Grab me at the next affiliate meeting and I can give you a $100 dollar bill directly (our threshold) or just send in your W9.

The original poster on this just suffered from bad timing on our payments because his faxed W9 came during Christmas week and coverage wasn't as good as it is normally. He should be paid out now. To be honest, our accounting department can be a bit slow at times (corporate accounting and all), but the good thing is that we are part of a big company and have the money to pay. Plus it is pretty consistent once it gets going. Sometimes too consistent as we pay around a $20 wire fee to wire out $14 (ouch).

As for the residual payment on Power 500, I am just as pissed off about this as well. The advertiser wasn't prepared from a systems point of view to reconcile this stuff. They will get their act together and pay out.

Yeah, I spoke to Maria today. Partially my fault.

I didn't realize I hadn't sent over the W-9 yet. Thanks.

They also haven't paid me and I began working with Lauren Kolodisner on August 27th. I split test their offer against another one and theirs underperformed - they promised to pay the difference.

I've received no response to emails or calls. Thank you for reminding me. This is the first time I've had a company do this in this industry. The payment owed isn't a big amount. Still, a payment is owed and this tardiness, which may or may not have a good explanation (since I've received no contact), is unacceptable.

Just an update: I still haven't been paid by eadvertising (since August, yup). This is the second time Lauren Kolodisner promised to send a wire out immediately. She didn't and provided no explanation. After I contacted her today with the status, she promised to send it out on Feb. 15th, which is several months late instead of rushing it as promised. I'm not perfect but if I screw up, I'll try to make good on it and expect the same from others. I've asked for a new AM, Steve, and I'm cautiously optimistic he won't make the same mistakes.

I actually just recently received payment for Nov. earnings, took a bit of back and forth, but they said the check was in the mail, and about a week later I got it.

Im sorry that you've had problems with Lauren, but to her credit she is probably the best AM I have. Always available by cell, great tips, can help with media buys, and pay bumps with no questions

The problem might be she is running into resistance from other people in the company

Hey, What about this Network: "OurFreeStuff" (canadian sponsors). Have anyone here worked with them?. I've been promoting their offers since December and getting almost 20-25% scrubbed clicks. I'm still waiting for the first wire....

Any feedback would be appreciated.

No, I stopped promoting zip/email submits a while ago.

I'm into the Mobile niche... But the merchant or the network is scrubbing at a 20% rate.

I haven't get my first payment also. Already made $1,300...
