FTC Government Grant Press Conference

Internet marketers would not have been so successful at selling the masses on this free grant shit if the current presidency hadn't been promising them fucking handouts for the last year if they elected him.

"I'm not gon have to worry bout puttin gas in my car or payin my rent"

They basically ran their campaign like a free grant blog. They made a bunch of promises about redistributing wealth, promised a bunch of free shit... what's the diff really? The people featured in these blogs are more realistic to me than 90% of the politicians on the hill.
When Obama blows up civilians, it's ok. When you do it, it is terrorism.

When Obama raises taxes, that is ok. When you do it, it's called extortion.

When Obama promises free money, that's ok. When you do it, it is fraud.

When Obama tries coke in college, that's street cred. When you do it, your ass will be raped by Bubba.

As Carlin put it, "it's a big club, and you ain't in it".

Now that this press conference has sunk in, I think its really a big blessing in disguise.

The FTC basically came out and warned everyone today. They basically are giving everyone the opportunity to change their ways immediately or go away.

That's a hell of a lot better than storming into offices and taking computers or handing out hundreds of sopenas.

The FTC hasn't been so kind to other industries.

And yet you still see idiots running "obamasXXXXXX.com" as I write this.

Now that I've actually been paying attention I'm seeing it EVERYWHERE. Kind of scary for them.

Can't wait to see how this actually turns out. I'm hoping they do it in a way that cleans things up, but doesn't involve a bunch of lawsuits against affiliates.

Well if they realize they are pissing a revenue stream down the drain for themselves and everyone else they would stop. It's going to be up to the networks to squash the people still pushing, if they care about their business model at all.

You know damn well some people don't care about being sued as long as they turn a profit. Which is a bad mojo for the whole industry.

^^ Yes but may be detrimental to their US counterparts, assuming their running offers though the US. Not saying they are for sure, but you can't see that lasting for too long as Google will slap the fuck out of them soon anyways.

^^ That part is true - if not Google, they run the risk of getting kicked out of affiliate networks.

The point is, they can afford to take the risk. It is much less for them.
