Regged at Moniker in 2001, expires in 2019. The initial plan was to turn this baby into a huge-ass tech news portal but I just don't have enough $ to market such a website atm. Minimum offer: $1k.
I was pretty excited about making things happen but it's hard to get the ball rolling if you don't have a lot of capital to work with. Such a site could receive an insane amount of traffic once it has a decent community behind it (people who can let others know about the site, people who comment and so on).
The problem is that in order to generate enough exposure, you'd have to invest a lot of money and/or time initially. Since I already work like a maniac, I'm definitely not able to invest enough time and my advertising budget wouldn't be large enough to compensate for that
Thanks for the offer but I'm definitely not willing to sell upgrades.net for $700. I don't want to be unreasonable and ask for $1 gazillion but on the other hand, selling it for peanuts is out of the question.
charlie.simm, be careful when selling such a quality domain. Definitely use an escrow service, especially selling to a guy with 6 posts (no offense turboburbo, just a precaution).
Thanks for dropping by guys, I'll definitely be using an escrow service. I got in touch with Rick Latona and the domain is gonna be listed on his newsletter this week @ $3.5k. As you can see, I'm pricing it to sell and I'm sure you'll agree that it's worth considerably more than that. I'll go ahead and set the BIN to $3.5k, keep those offers comin'
It's not really an auction (no increments, end date and stuff like that), it's more of a "Make teh Offerz Plz Kind Sirs" thread. Given the way things stand atm, I'm probably gonna sell this baby @ $3.5k in a few days. The new owner can either flip it or turn it into a tech portal/computer "upgrades" (memory upgrades, components and so on) site. I'd obviously prefer to sell upgrades.net to someone who wants to develop it but whatever, it's not like I can force the new owner to do this or that with the domain
Finally someone comes in with a great domain at a reasonable asking price. Usually we only get the retarded amateur domainers who are wanting 50k for theseshoesaresweet.org. Unfortunately 2.5k and the costs that'll go into dev and marketing are a bit too much for me atm. Good luck on your sell!
