CASH - Accepted by every doctor I've seen in the past few years.

Bad advice, an average doctors visit could end up costing you $2k and if god forbid you have a bad accident and have to stay in the hospital your looking at $75k+.

Hello friend,

Do Obama no soon give every American universe health care?

I think it good to have. Even local government India provide even if some doctor no so good.

Good luck bro

I have a personal plan through Blue Cross & Blue Shield. I really didn't feel comfortable going with anybody else, and it's a decent plan for about $125 with dental.

I think I need to have my wisdom teeth out so this thread reminded me that I need to check and make sure it's covered.

You do realize that article debunks your statments,

I would rather have to wait for the care then not be able to get it at all because

I can't pay.
My health insurance will not cover it.

Huh? His statements are right on. You're the one missing the point. It's not all about you. I'm sure you have parents, siblings, wife, children, etc? In Canada no one gets health care that's on par with the US, no one. That's a nationwide problem that can't be solved with free health care.

There are many Canadians who come down to the US for surgeries and treatment all the time, just ask someone in your local hospital they'll tell you. A lot of people down in the US don't even realize that there are many doctors who work in the US that are Canadian. If you ask them what they're going to do, many will tell you they're going to go back to Canada. Also, many older doctors will end up retiring.

Are you really as fucking stupid as you sound? $2K for a Dr. visit?

BINGO. Don't bother with the receptionist, nurse, or cashier girl. Either talk to the office finance office manager BEFOREHAND or the DOCTOR in the room. Simply say "I don't have insurance but I do have $100 (or whatever 1/2 the price actually is) and can pay you that now, can you work with me?" and 99% of the time they will and for a LOT less than the normal rate.

Keep in mind everything isn't marked up for profit, it's marked up to absorb the cost of their staff filing the claims, etc.

Doctors are the most negotiable people in the world to deal with. Go to a private Dr. when you can, not one of those mega clinics.

Do it yourself USB colonoscopy kit from Newegg FTW.

If you have your own business, join your town's Chamber of Commerce and get Health Insurance through the chamber. The chamber will probably have 4 plans or so to choose from. This should save you some money and allow you to get on a good plan versus going it alone.

So what is your plan of action when your doctor tells you that you have cancer?
