Borrowing from that -what I thought was- hilarious thread of this dudes house that he's going to buy, if I were looking for a pretty big sized home in the same setting as this pic, what's the best place to start looking. Something pretty big but just out in nature like that with mountains/forests/water everywhere.

Just curious to take a look at some places. Thanks doods.

Well, you can buy that house as it looks like he never purchased it.

5695 W 3050 S, Wellsville, UT 84339, Wellsville Area Single Family, Real Estate For Sale $649,500 MLS# 864609

It's in Wellsville, UT.

There are lots of places in WA state and Oregon with similar scenery.

My mother-in-law has satellite internet and it fucking sucks balls. It is constantly losing connectivity. A fucking bird could fly over the dish and the damn thing would shit the bed....

Maybe for a vacation place. I'm not into driving 30 min just to go shopping.

My buddy has a place in Bear Valley Springs we visit every now and then...it's like right outside of Tehachapi, CA. Lots of nature. Some snowfall in the winter.

Just doing a quick search here is a pretty bad ass place for sale. 5.10 acre lot, 3,232 square feet. Asking $734,500. I doubt they'll get that price any time soon.

Most of these places do not have high-speed internet and yes the satellites do suck from what I have heard from many. There are many places in Utah, West Virginia, Wyoming, and Colorado that say they have high-speed in rural areas since the areas have seen government help with getting them the internet.

I lived/worked in Yellowstone National Park for a while. It was by far the nicest place I have ever lived (scenery wise). The area (Montana/Wyoming/Idaho) is definitely on the list of future homes.

As for Internet service, yes it sucks. Even cell phone coverage is hit or miss.

depends on what you consider high speed. I'm in MT and get 15 down, about 1.5 up, soon moving to 30/3.

not as fast as other places but its not super slow either.

MT = wide open w/ 360 degree mountains. If I wanted a ranch, that's where I'd go. The people are cool and laid back too. No big city BS. No mercedes and stupid shit everywhere. Wouldn't live in bozeman or missoula (shithole) though.

Nah, eastern mt pretty much sucks. Check out Kalispell/Whitefish area. Good stuff.
^this

Also, look at sandpoint, idaho. I'm considering relocating there. Relatively cheap houses with mountains, nature, etc all around. Great ski mountain (schweitzer) and close to the BC ski areas.
