Place to Live with Wide Open Land

How's internet access in Thailand?

Actually for those prices you could get some nice really big houses near my home at Galicia, Spain.

net access isn't bad, but they block youtube a lot :(

As much as I love the mountains and open plains, not being near a body of salt water kind of freaks me out. I'll eventually probably settle back on the BC coast perhaps on the Sea to Sky highway somewhere between Vancouver and Whistler/Blackcomb or on what is known as the Sunshine Coast, a short ferry ride away.

Ocean front property FTW.

For the beach you need the Outerbanks in NC. A lot of places to use ATV's, Horses, 4WD Trucks. All kinds of Wildlife

On another note, didnt I read that Oregon is the highest taxed state in the country?

Oregon does have one of the highest income tax rates but it does not have any sales tax -- so when you calculate the overall tax burden per capita, OR actually ranks pretty low (below the national average).

Just move to south-eastern NH. You get the mountains an hour away, you get the ocean 10 mins away, you get maine 5 minutes north, you get massachusetts 5 mins south and are only 50 miles north of Boston...

Oh, did I mention that you get no sales tax and no income tax as well?

Or you could do what some people do, live across the river in Washington (no income tax) and drive over the bridge to shop (no sales tax).

Win win.

If you look into the Deer Valley area of Park City, there is comcast up to 12Mbit at the moment.

Some areas of Utah have 50gb fiber through a municipal service, look into UTOPIA if you're thinking about buying here.

*sigh* I seriously debated moving around West Vally areas for UTOPIA, but I ended up sticking near Xmission. yeah DSL.
