Acai is definitely one the biggest scams of all time. Look at the product known as "monavie". It's promoting mainly in network marketing and its sold billions and made the top guys a fortune. Add that revenue to the overall acai scam dollars.
 
I got the list from the lawsuit filed in New York today by Oprah, Doctor Oz and Harpo. Here is the list of all the companies, individuals, and domains named in the suit. I can send out the whole suit if people are interested. It is 53 pages long. The fines range from $100K to $150K depending the extent of the infringement.

I have the full lawsuit in a PDF, sent to me by my lawyer. I am trying to find a link to it to post. There is a ton of press around it if you just search "Dr Oz and Oprah Acai Lawsuit."
 
They go after CPX for actually creating and distributing the advertisements. Most networks have refused to create ads for me because they fear something like this could happen. This shouldn't prevent them from running the offers, just not building the creative on the behalf of the advertiser. They will also probably crack down on the use of celebrity and media logos.

I'm not sure why ayzo believes they will ban rebill offers. Continuity offers are still running strong, just certain sites won't allow certain categories of offers. For instance, Yahoo won't allow Weight Loss, Teeth Whitening, and Resveratrol because they use deceptive advertising. Skin care offers are still permitted, just not Resveratrol.

Google is banning the use of "affiliate tactics" to promote offers like this. They have no problem with direct linking to the landing page, just not tricking someone into believing there is a review process or person (blog) approving the product.

I also don't think you are going to see anyone banning NetFlix. The legit companies promoting continuity offers are still going to run. The issue is with people promote these offers and scamming advertisers who hide T&C's and upsell the shit out of people.

I should have been more clear, I don't think all rebills are going to be flat out banned I just think they will take the Yahoo approach and be very selective over what type of rebill offers they allow to advertise on their network. Stuff like acai and teeth whitening probably won't fly but I'm sure gamefly, netflix, and columbia house will still be fine.

They are going after CPX because they were retards and claimed they had Dr. Oz. authorization to use those images on buy on aol.com and others. They were also big on using him on their own internal campaigns. Notice, everyone getting sued was using Oz/Oprah.

Who knew.
