freedom like a shopping cart.
lol welcome to the UK.
4) lol @ UK if this has happened more than once in the past five years
I bet the main reason the police didn't help this guy is simply what he looks like... You can bet if it was some cute English girl they'd have a different answer then, "Oh you are gonna have to go to the courts, someone breaking into your house while you are on vacation is a civil manner not criminal."

fucking hilarious. this simply proves that UK's legal system is total gay and needs massive change. How on earth some begger break into my home and claim my fucking property? fuck do homeowners have no right on their own property? What kinda fucking law is this?
The point is they didn't break in, if they had done so it would be illegal and the police would have had them out within a few hours.
Anyway, as annoying as it must be for this dude, I don't really see the problem.
So you think the home owner left his door unlocked while going on vacation, maybe even put a little sign out that said, "Hey, come on in"? Are you naive, retarded or both?
I'd be pissed that the legal system takes as long as it does to work, but that's a separate issue. The guy WILL get his home back, but I'm sure him, you or anyone else would be upset if some dude on the street could get you turfed out of your home because he goes to the police and says "I own that" without any due process.Only because it's not your house, if it was I'm pretty sure you'd "see the problem".
Of course not, I'm not saying that his house should be given over to anyone. Just that the law (adverse possession) exists in the way that it does for a good reason.
