$170 / €170 rebills and we wonder why Visa is hating on us?

pretty sure someone on this forum runs a grant offer that rebills something in this ballpark after 24 hours.
Yes, this forum.

But that someone doesn't post here much anymore...

That offer is run from the UK... Shell companies FTW!

a lot are, but then you need to be able to float commissions because offshore high risk accounts don't fund but weekly (and a week in arrears at that). so that weeds out most of the people who probably shouldn't be in the game to begin with.

Isn't that "someone" very high up here? I believe I remember that "someone" talking about it about mid last year. Although I'm not sure if that "someones" rebill hits after 24 hours.

BTW we have had numerous threads in the past on the absurdity of the price of rebills in general, and if I do remember right now one cared then and I can't see how they would now.

Yes, yes, yes, and yes.

Nobody complained then I guess because the money was rolling in and they didn't realize that people were going to abuse it until it was ruined for all of us.

having a problem with the price of rebills, and promoting them profitably, are not compatible strategies.

either you promote other stuff that doesn't offend your sensibilities, or you get over it and blow it up while it's around.

Also if I remember right the offer came out not long before rebills in a vertical very related to this offer we're talking about came under fire because a number of advertisers didn't have ANY terms and conditions on their sites, wouldn't let users cancel, etc and got sued.

So the fact that they actually had terms on the page kind of put them in the middle of the pack in terms of shadiness.

I don't blame that someone at all tbh and I think that they are running the most compliant pages.

About offshore / onshore... shit like this is only going to ruin everything even further. It's in the hands of networks and affiliates to say that they don't promote shit with certain hilarious terms..

like I said. You get scammed for $50-60 and you think "fuck it, lets cancel and we'll be over it" or you even don't end up noticing the charge on your card. There's no fuckin way you'd do that with a $170 bill.

its funny that consumers wont read the terms and all you think someone else needs to help people read the terms, this kinda shit wouldn't survive if consumers would just get taught that they need to fucking read things before they buy. Anyone here buy a car lately? You think you actually read all the fucking paperwork before buying?

soon they will have picture contracts with the way the trend is going.

I think it's safe to say that these are no longer product sellers, they are scammers plain and simple. Affiliates who sling products like these are just as guilty and deserve to be ashamed of themselves. You guy's are meant to be in "business" and if all your business involves is trying to trick people into offers like these - well you're just running a criminal enterprise.

$170/$229 (euro equiv) is a SHIT load of money to most people round the world and is not an amount people tend to just let slide. Even worse, it's usually the people with the least amount of money available that get sucked into schemes like this and end up in a situation ten times worse.

When you think about it even further, not everyone may even have to funds to cover costs like this and end up getting hit with unauthorized overdraft charges. It's just not cool.

If I post this on Social sites, The content will go fucking viral and than Allah will decide..

$170 x 2 or x 3 nowadays.

Yeah and don't forget it's 170 euros.... ~$230 USD COMBINED with a $23/month rebill works out to roughly $235 x 2 or x 3...

When you're taking a mortgage payment for a sugar pill there's a problem.

It's certainly not as noble as the US insurance company model of automatically denying *every* claim and training a staff to figure out how to deny as much as possible for those who call/write in and fight the original denials. Of course this coming after all sorts of ads showing happy people and promising the company cares about customers health.

No- certainly not as noble as that.
