$170 / €170 rebills and we wonder why Visa is hating on us?

Someone is always being fucked. Do you want to be fucked, or do you want to be the one doing the fucking? Compared to the rest of the shit going on around the world, rebills are innocuous.

I do, however, agree that a 170 rebill is crossing the line.

DO YOU WANT THIS

Love the car and I most certainly do want it. However, rebills like this just kill the affiliate business a little bit quicker. Did you know there are actual companies out there that sell real, quality products which offer value for money? Sure it may take a while longer but you'll have a much more solid business for a much longer term, if you do your homework.

Most of these offers get wiped out within 6 months when enough people start kicking up a fuss. I'm not even going to debate that with affiliate marketers because that's the game we play, but scams like this just ain't groovy.

affiliate marketing is on a self destruction fast-track

why worry about regulations and big brother when we're giving them every reason to shut things down

that's all

lol affiliate marketing isn't going anywhere and its not only about continuity.

I dont understand why your meddling in someone elses business. If there is a problem, your opinions aren't going to fix it. Go join the FTC or Spamhaus if you really give a shit

I can whine all day about animal rights and how disgusting meat eaters are for doing nothing about and continuing the animal holocaust... I know it wont stop you from continuing your slaughter

really... you had to convert a thread about rebills into some BS dont eat meat thing

Love all the fucking retards with neg rep in here trying to act like they know what they're talking about.

OP is right. Advertisers don't understand the logic that charge-backs will go down when re-bill charges go down. When people get fucked out of >$100 for buying "magic pills" they're embarrassed.

...It takes a real fuck over (e.g - $500) for them to go to the FTC/AG/whatever saying they got charged and didn't lose 40 pounds in two weeks.

The underneath picture is a very good way of explaining the terms in a more discreet manner. Offers that use this convert awesome.

Just another case of WickedFire noobs, and idiots trying to sound knowledgeable on things they know nothing about. Hurrr that doesn't show the terms? durrr

Why is it that affiliates blame the advertisers, Have you not thought that maybe the blogs, the jumping cpa and other variable have to play in all this. The real issue is not just rebills and advertisers, it was the networks and employees and affiliates becoming advertisers, not having the experience and resources to handle service and provide real solutions. Being an advertiser from 9 years, and remembering when we paid 9 bucks to 17 for a CPA sale, we didn't have any issues back then. Its the wild west and now advertisers are trying to buy media and this will push cpc costs up. We need to regulate ourselves and we need to gather with each other to figure it out.

Along with the massive $500 fuck over, I really do believe it also important to not go to such an extreme of hiding the terms. Of course the 30-day money back guarantee certificate converts better, but long term it's one of the components that cause these offers to come under fire. The terms should be displayed above the fold in a reasonably sized font.

And by the way, the offer still seems to work with the new method of displaying the terms. Plenty of people still don't read shit. There are other design changes they can introduce to help conversions while still keeping Visa/MC relatively happy by not being as deceptive.

Want to edit above post, but can't.

Ideal solution on the terms would actually be calling it "terms of free trial" or something similar and keeping the pretty certificate graphic, but not making the large font say "30 day money back guarantee"... the smaller print below it has little to do with a 30 day money back guarantee and a lot to do with a EUR150 rebill after 14 days. That is my beef.
