18 Year Old Drives a 599 GTO

No. My parents bought me an RC car when I was little, does that make them irresponsible? I don't get people judging the parents for buying the kid a car for his birthday, sure it costs a lot but it's all relative.

can you get killed for playing with an RC toy?

So wait his parents bought that for him. Thats like bragging about living in a nice house your parents own.
Hi Mom, Hi Dad.
Kids like that dont amount to shit in the long run. No fundamentals. Parents are so stupid sometimes.

Sometimes. There are always exceptions to the rule. Back when I lived in CO, I knew a guy that was pretty much a trust fund baby who will never have to work a job in his life. Grandparents became super wealthy which trickled down the family line.

He never flaunted his money, never bragged, and didn't drive expensive cars. Was a pretty down to earth guy that just won the cosmic lottery by ending up in a wealthy family but you wouldn't know it by the way he acted.

But, sometimes, yeah - you end up with the spoiled brats.

Damn, nice setup:

Ok, so a kid got a super car for his birthday present and shit loads of people replied saying "nice car"

What the fuck am I missing here......?

kid seems pretty level-headed, good for him.
Not. Guess you missed the part where he refers to "my wealth." Dumbshit hasn't done a thing and already thinks of his dad's money as his. I actually know who this is and trust me he doesn't have a level head lol. I know MTK and a lot of the people on the L4P forum because most of them came from 6speedonline, fchat and other forums I used to participate in quite a bit and I've meet a lot of them at gumball rallies and other events.

If they really wanted to instill a hunger and drive to succeed in this kid, they'd be giving him second-hand clunkers and telling him if he wanted to earn that GTO, he'd have to bust ass for it.

But this way, he's just getting the impression that this shit comes easy. Some see a nice car, I see a corrosion of the soul and destruction of this kid's work ethic.

Then what has his dad do?

And also how do you know he hasn't done anything? There are a handful of 18 year olds on this forum who could buy a supercar if they really wanted to.

The kid has not much to look forward too, his daddy is throwing it in his lap. If I had a car like that when I was 18 I would have been dead a long time ago.

I bet he is junked out on drugs before he is 30, I have personally seen this happen over and over.

Everyone sees the world through their own little pinhole version of it.

Everyone judges and tells what they think is best for everyone from pure ignorance.

No there's still timeless wisdom and fundamentals when it comes to life.
Listen to what Warren Buffet compares parent handouts to. WELFARE.

..a very rich person should leave his kids enough to do anything but not enough to do nothing. Warren Buffett

Timeless wisdom and fundamentals don't apply when you know nothing of the situation your trying to impose it on.
We're only seeing 1/1000th of what it would take to make a valid ASSUMPTION.

So he bought his kid a car, maybe he had to do 3 years of business classes in order to get it for his 18th birthday.
For all we know it's a structured incentive plan his dad created for him.
For all we know, we know nothing.
