18 Year Old Drives a 599 GTO

Car itself is a beauty. Hate the paint job though (a Ferrari that isn't red!? WTF!!)

If his dad wants to spoil the kid this bad, so be it. Maybe it'll turn his kid into an asshole, maybe not. Who knows, maybe the kid is responsible to his dad's wealth by giving him awesome ideas.

You dont have hang on his ball sack.

Valid Assumption was made.

3 years of business classes on his 18th birthday, come on. The kid just got out of high school; and his living like he just got a 5 year deal with the lakers. Daddies pocket will be his Walfare. Haven't you read the millionaire next door.

What Zimok said +++

..a very rich person should leave his kids enough to do anything but not enough to do nothing. Warren Buffett
Being extremely wealthy does not = Wisdom

I bet he is junked out on drugs before he is 30, I have personally seen this happen over and over.
As have most people rich or poor

If I had a car like that when I was 18 I would have been dead a long time ago.
I've had friends die driving $200 dirt bikes, $500 junkers and $80000 Mercedes when I was 17-18...it's all the same...

Its not wise to buy your 18 year old child, a Ferrari.
For so many reasons. How anyone can defend it, I dont know.

I can tell most you still drink juicy juice out of the little box. Kidding Guys.
Read the Millionaire mind or Millionaire Next Door. See what real selfmade millionaires; not mommy and daddy shit, are like. Richest man in Babylon is also a good one - found a link http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=507553673251198265#

I just had to take a peek at that car and it's amazing. Since I don't know the family, I can't speak about their character or intentions. Hopefully the parents are doing all they can to teach him to be responsible and careful.

Yes, there are kids all around the world who's parents buy them crazy expensive shit... Who cares?

not a good idea to be advertising these things on the internet.

sheeps will be sheeps. wolves will be wolves

this. why would you even post this op? it's not even interesting. I was hoping for a surprise ending like he flipped it after a few days of having it or something.

The car is amazing, the kid is a lucky bastard, and up there^^ is a whole string of haters, lol.

WTF does is matter if some rich guy wants to spoil his kid? Everybody is a pundit...sure am glad were still mostly free enough to have what we want...and the peanut gallery will throw tomatoes.
Whatevs...

I think juicy juice is valid point.

A lot of jealousy in this thread as well huh, we're just human beings after all.

If I was extremely rich I still would not buy my kid supercars since the age 16. At 16 he would at best get something like civic typer from me :) Not because I don't want to, its because he would grow better character and personality. You can't give everything to a kid. So people here not necessary jealous.

I just dont go bragging on forums that I had a brand new paid of house (a big one) and a bmw (the sporty one) in my late teens (like baby face and all). Difference is its all mine, No mommy daddy. I was a poor kid, and most rich kids I knew aint shit now. I think I know why. America is a great country.
My son isnt going get a Ferrari. He will have a job to learn fundamentals first. But I'm old school like that.

I like the targetted advertising on the forum, one ad came up for 'debt relief' I'm sure a lot of those guys are interested in that :S

But I'm old school like that.

Same here, but I definitely aspire to be wealthy enough to lavish expensive gifts on friends and family if I like.

The problem with the complaints ITT is that most here wouldn't even comment if the kid received a Camaro for his 18th. It's a question of scale. Maybe dad buys the car and the kid pays insurance. Sure it's unlikely, but as Zimok said we don't know the circumstances.

Rich people from "old money" see money a lot differently from everyone else, so an expensive car isn't as heavy a thing as it is to the unwashed masses or a rapper. ;) It's just another toy.

Fuck 599. I'm not doing anything more then 745i.
I'm investing my money in the next construction boom 7-10 years from now. Urban lots and large lots with small homes in older urban areas (dividable lots, most people dont even know they live on gold). With the amount of foreclosures and short sales, its easy to find a deal. Cars dont make me happy, I'm over that stage. Profits need to be invested.
