Yours?
Me, 2011 sucked. I started out strong, built upcominggames.com from scratch, forums included, spread myself thin across even more new projects, but I ignored my existing projects and because of that, I made a tad bit less than I did last year.
AND
This year I'm focusing on my strengths, what makes me money and expanding on them. It's exciting starting new projects, but I have to resist that temptation until I've absolutely maxed out my ability to earn from existing projects..
So 2012 for me is all about truly diversifying my income and making money from at least 2 other unrelated sources, by focusing on my current projects. I have a lot that are already developed that I've abandoned because I get bored of them. Time to break that cycle and stick with my strengths/projects that have potential.
Are these kind of contrasting? I'm assuming you mean a combination of using your strengths to regain lost income and then apply your strengths to different areas. In my humble opinion, find a way you can use your strengths as a consultant. If you're really good at what you are doing, it's not hard to charge $150 an hour for consulting work. Most of the work is generally mid-level stuff anyways so it's super easy.
Regardless, happy holidays. Sorry to hear about your friend man :crap:
