Background

I got into the PPC with Adwords about a year ago, got lucky with a niche that was blowing up and made decent money for a while before Google slapped me down. I tried a few campaigns on FB, PPV, and AdCenter, but nothing really worked. I stepped away for awhile and I'm ready to get back into it with SEO and organic traffic.

I now have 3 review websites all about 1 year old, all in the same niche, that I used for PPC traffic. It's still a profitable niche and I'm trying to figure out the best way to use these for SEO, if it's worth it. Due to the affiliate control panels on the product websites, I never did get tracking working properly to see conversions. I can see clicks, keywords, and redirects though.

Current Income from all 3 websites: ~$750/month

Newbie Questions

1) I would like to build one site up and get it ranking, should I choose the domain with the highest traffic and 301 redirect the others?

2) Should I choose the best domain name and 301 redirect the others?

3) I hope to do a in-depth SEO makeover of whatever site will be best. Will changing the theme and content of the site hurt whatever ranking I have so far?

I realize these are probably all basic questions, but I would appreciate any other advice you guys can offer!

Develop all three independently... Independent servers, independent tracking ID, different analytics (avoid google analytics except on one site)

Use two sites to link to one main site... Build link too all sites. Don't link the two sites form the main site.
Good Luck..

Well, I have one domain hosted on bluehost. The other two domains (plus about 5 others) are addon domains. Also, all 3 have analytics already.

Is it too late for this plan?

As for the third question, it will decrease your ranking a little but if new content is well optimised for the keywords you are currently getting traffic from then your positions will be restored.

Setup different identification for each of them. So you can see on what to apply on the other sites so you have equal traffic.
