I'm not sure I can bench or Mpress 100kg ( ~220 lbs ) but I can manage to make it through a 90 minute boxing class, with 30 minutes of sparring, 90 minutes of Jiu-jitsu on top of that, ride a sportbike home, and still have more than enough energy and use from my arms to play kinect with the girlfriend for more than an hour.
Lifting helps out your strength, not endurance, which is what is required for extended periods of muscle use, even if you are just moving your arms around
