90% of BST content writers suck

I've had well written content from SEOGenerals.com ... just under $15 for 1,000 word articles (24hr turnaround time)

Textbrokers is also decent if you need a bunch of articles in a short period of time.

Magicink just delivered 2 articles for me today and they were great lsi articles. Not cheap at 24 i think , but they went right up to first page of new sites.

Doesn't seem like OP was looking for writers, merely pointing out a large percentage of writers on WF suck...just like others here have said, you really do pay for the quality...if you think you're getting a sweet deal for legit content, think again.

Depends what you want.

The majority of BST buyers just want food for teh Googlez. Mangled English and mistakes aren't a big deal when what you really want is the user to click on the ads next to the text. So as far as they're concerned, it's a sweet deal.

You want a well researched, well written and copyedited article? You're looking at a $1 per word. Sales copy 2-3x that.

And on that note, if it's sales copy you're looking for, English majors are the worst people in the world to write it. Although the stuff they produce is highly literate, it's usually too fancy to sell well. Good copy is conversational, and that often means doing things that piss grammar freaks off.

Like starting sentences with a preposition.

And using very short paragraphs.

Or sentence fragments.

I have a standard answer to English grads who pick at copywriting for being too casual. It's "so what percentage does your writing convert at then?"

That said, you have to know the rules to break the rules, and having re-read OP, I do agree that the quoted post screams "non-native English speaker".

Completely agree with OP that the vast majority of content writers who claim to be native english masters are totally full of shit. This is based on dealing with dozens of writers over the past year or so personally.

Dealing with all the shit has been worth it though - for the few really good writers I've connected with.

If you don't like it, offer something better for a similar price. Seems like your wife has way to much time on her hands, so get her to offer a writing service.

Free time? That took her a minute or two. She does some writing on textbroker, never rated lower than 5 star. She only writes things she finds interesting, because she likes writing. Got her set up with a blog last year and she was never interested in it to do more than three articles, trying to convince her to write a book.

This is why I use Textbroker. Once in a while you get something written by a clown if you're ordering a 2 (or even 3) star article, but fortunately you can simply reject it.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Also, if you spend all your time trying to deal down writers who obviously know what they're doing: It just accelerates their burnout phase. Pay people what they're worth and tell all the "LSI/Panda/University English Graduate Content Creation" services for +/- $2/100 (along with their glorious array of bulk discounts that work out to less than $1/100 if you order more than 10,000w) -- to go fuck themselves.

Most of these worthless services are in the SBT because that's what the majority of "Panda-Homeboys" want (algo changes create a buzz and give these guys new marketing slogans, lol!) Since most of them outsource to third-world countries, they can afford to post in every forum, and offer ridiculous discounts.

In general, 90% of humans suck, so not much of a surprise that 90% of content writers suck.

Sift through providers like a deck of playing cards. One after the other after the other, until you find the ones that put a smile on your face.

The person who wrote that article for you could probably bang out a much better article had they felt inspired to take their time. You know, the kind of "inspiration" that could at least buy a value meal at McDonald's.

Stop using writers like vending machines. Pay more; writers will disappoint you less.

I am really sorry for the problem that you faced because of me. This is not usually how I work. My reviews will let you know about the dedication and sincerity with which I do my work. All I ask from you is that you show trust in me once more and allow me to prove to you that I do take my work seriously. I promise you and my other writers that this type of a mistake will never be repeated by me.

Thanks
Check out this post where I just got ripped off by one of our content writers, Cathy.rydu. I figured as much, but you gotta sort through the shit to find the gold.
