So my best autoblog finally died and is now making about $0.00 to $0.05 per day (down from the once all-mighty $20 days!)

I still have a fair amount of traffic, so i'm looking for ideas on how to monetize it.

Here's 2008's traffic stats so far.

Anyone got anything for me?

Private Ads
Build an E-mail List
Run Some Affiliate Offers ( tons of auto offers to choose from)
Paid Reviews (Shady Area)

gotta love those microsoft blogs still allowing trackbacks :)

Ever try places like kontera? or ypn?

Paid advertisements are a good way to go if you are getting good traffic. You can charge people like $100+/month for an ad spot depending on your traffic.

People like Shoemoney charge $1000's of dollars for an ad spot.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

@nickyclarson - I tried that on DP but noone was interested, not even at $20 per month which surprised me!

@deliguy - I'll try Kontera, thanks.

My Adsense account is still active, the problem is getting people to click on the ads! Nickycakes suggested moving the ads around so i'm gonna try that as well.

So your saying nothing has been penalised, and the only problem is that the CTR has gone down dramatically??

Hey Bam why not create one more auto blog and scale up leaving this one behind.. well that is my idea ... !

infact what i am thinking now is an army of auto blogs .... If one dies u always have others to fall back upon.

Decent traffic stats -- you have a lot of options.

If the niche is a good one I might start by displaying 3-5 sites front and center (hot click area). Then track how many clicks you send those 3-5 sites.

After a few days -- send those sites an email (or even better call them). Tell them they can keep that spot for $xxxx per month. Make sure you can tell them how many clicks they've gotten.

Call all of them -- have different prices for them (spot 1 costs the most, spot 2 is almost half the price...etc). If they like the idea but balk at your prices -- offer below the fold links.
