Using the standard method as I have in the past - in search and content - I have my destination URL set to mytrackingurl.com which has tracking202 installed on it, etc.
Then for the display URL I set it to promotedoffer.com, which is the final destination of the destination URL.
As usual after I upload some campaigns to Adwords some ads get invalid URL disapproval status'. And as usual I email support and then they tend to fix and get things going for me. BUT... this time was different, and I was curious if anyone else is having this problem...

so the end result is that the rep is saying we can't have trackers on a different domain from the offer, even though when I uploaded this particular campaign, I also uploaded another one as well which was approved??? The only difference was it being search only.

whereas the display URL is 'Offer.com.' There is a gross mismatch of
URls here, which is not acceptable per our URL policy.
Please note that to ensure a positive user experience, we require the
domain of your ad's display URL to match the domain of its destination URL
(the URL of your landing page) consistently: at all times, from all
locations, and to all users. Both the display and the destination URLs
must be accessible globally.

I was curious when this policy has been in effect since? In the past when I was talking to other support reps, they indicated that the domain names of the destination URL and the display URL are allowed to be different as long as they both end up on the same page - since not all campaign tracking softwares are always on the same domain.

URL accuracy, and have decided to take a stricter approach to this policy
and no longer allow certain exceptions. This includes, but is not limited
to redirects and vanity URLs.
