well... of all the conferences I have ever spoken at or been to I have never seen one where the moderator never showed....

There was 1 microphone for 3 people

No microphone for the audience

The moderator to introduce walk around with the mic for the audience was awol.

Pretty ghetto.

Yeah--I'm definitely not blaming you guys at all, and the only reason this even might sound like a complaint is just because your session was my 'most anticipated' one at the conference. In my (biased) mind you and Jon are (along with Kris) some of the best people to listen to.

I also thought it was pretty lame how that lady (not sure who it was--sorry) was frantically singalling you to end the session.

If the ASW people had their shit together, there could have been more questions, and possibly even better ones. There just needed to be a little moderation. Especially in the beginning. It would have been nice to have someone from AS intro the panel, and have a list of filler questions. Stuff that they (AS) could have had prepared ahead of time to get some conversation going.

I enjoyed the session, but the pace was off, and that's the fault of the organizers, not the panel. Kudos to Jon, Shoe and Andrew for making the best of the situation.

Hey, what's with the rumor that the 'official' video is not going to be put online because one of the panelists in this session was extremely unprofessional in his comments (and it wasn't Shoemoney) ?? :bigear:

Who in their right mind would think that Andrew Johnson was being extremely unprofessional in his comments? those bastards!
;) :Yahoo_29:

edit::: haha I wish I had the recording of when Jon was like, "why is everyone leaving?"

Andrew weeei said he has to get home to digitize it and work on some of the audio but he will then post it. as I was leaving within 5 minutes of the start jon asked why so many people were leaving, I wanted to stab my eye out it was so bad! not sure it was the panels fault but anyway...

yeah chris, that shit was funny huh? or when andrew was like..."and I just lost my train of thought" * passes the mic to shoemoney to save the question :)

or what about when my friend Jason asked the question about the forums and Jon got to plug his site for about 10 minutes :)

or the part when we were told that the best way to pick an offer is to look for stuff that does not have a lot of adwords competition - best advice ever!

WF bitches!

nope, just cause I pissed off Andrea
I would like to express my true love to such a wonderful woman!

other than that - how could a party with free booze be bad? and the waitresses were HOT, but not as hot as my Andrea! Andrea I love you!

IMO if people are asking stupid questions, I'd just shout my questions over them and get them answered.

The thing I hate is having my time wasted, especially by numbskulls, so just do whatever it takes - laugh out loud, yell 'great question, genius!', do whatever it takes.

If the session 'sucked', it's cos the silent majority allowed it to be hijacked. so bitching on the threads afterwards is like talking about the one that got away.

Besides, if you were at the Copeac party or if you got a chance to ask Shoemoney your question at the end, you'd get good answers.

yeah, i agree with what most people have been saying here. the session was kind of a let down, not because the speakers didn't do a good job, but because the topics that came up weren't really that interesting, the mic wasn't working for the first half or so, and the session was too short for a q & a. just my opinion.

if they have that panel again in the future i think it would be a lot better if it were an hour and a half or even two hours, and if the speakers each gave a brief (5 minute or so) run down of their background.. i guess they did a little bit, but i think a good portion of the audience didn't really know what to expect from the speakers and that resulted in the wrong questions being asked (not all of them, but quite a few).

anyway just my opinion.

btw i think i saw a lot of the wickedfire crew at kris jones' (pepperjam) session. i thought that one was really, really good.

Well, Lerch you HAD 702 at the beginning of ASW.

I think chrislingle was secretly happy that I kept screwing up his 2400+ posts. There's a beating heart in there somewhere.

PS: When I was in Air Force Ops, I had to memorize the stats for 350 personnel, so post counts are nothing...

Best part of asw was when Andrew Wee told us how many posts we had on wickedfire, he had that shit memorized!

I thought it was great Jon was calling out people for leaving, even if it was because of Chris!

I thought that was the best advice of the entire trip...haha
