Hi there,

OK, I'm not a racist, and I can't be one because, being Peruvian, I am a real genetic cocktail myself. I just want to ask what's in US men and women minds and why they appear to be so sensitive about the racial topic, because I had a somewhat "harsh exchange of opinions" today with a woman with "pretty dark skin" (you get it), and suddenly the racial topic sprouted in the conversation out of nothing. It was surprising. I wasn't even thinking about her race, but she assumed many of my viewpoints came from "that".

I have heard in the past that "unitedstatians" define themselves within "communities" (namely Asian, African-American, Hispanic and "white"), but I thought it was just something people liked to show in the movies over there and that that was it. I have also heard that "white people" are paid more money for the same job than people from other "minorities", although I don't know if it is true or just a stereotype.

Is your origin really that important over there? or I just had bad luck and met a girl "with issues"?

Thanks, amigos.

No, I did not specifically called her anything. She came up with a rant about a blogger who said that Miley Cirus was as vulgar as a black woman. I told/advised her that she should not reply to that because it was just adding fuel to the flames because that would just make things worse...

...but, as I can tell from her attitude after I said that, my comment was too offensive for her. She was really eager to "defend her sisters from that offence".

I don't really get it.

Race is used by our masters to control us so they constantly brand and market it through the media. Most people are only racist to the degree that they are conditioned to be racist by their handlers. The real racist people are our masters, not the general public. The general public are just sheep parroting what their overlords condition them to parrot. A black lady playing the race card is a socially engineered response no different than Pavlov's dog salivating when he rang the bell. It's the same in any other country really, every country has their stimuli. Race is in style right now. Tomorrow the style may change.

I do. She either got dumped, rejected, or can't pay her bills.

So much truth here.

This whole race-playing thing didn't start until the early 90's after the LA riots.

In the 80's, you would never hear someone bring up the race card or accuse you of being a racist. It didn't matter whether you were white and had just made an off-color remark about a group of people, or if you were black and had made a joke about "honkeys."

You young kids...I'm telling you...you missed a great decade. A time where you could walk around saying what you wanted without fear of repurcussion.

There is nothing wrong with being racist, it is a personal choice if someone wants to do business with a certain race, eat at a restaurant owned by a certain race, ect.

I would argue to get the best Chinese food, a Chinese person should be cooking it....

Now if you want to go around killing a certain race, thats when it becomes an issue.

Simply ask her:

Positive discrimination or negative discrimination... which is fairer?

Her answer will be telling.

Seriously?

Yeah! I have white, black, Andes and even Chinese ancestors. That's why they call us mestizos.

Yeah, this explains it.

lol... maybe

OK, that explains it too. We're still in those days in Peru... to a extent.

*clapping*

Thanks all guys.

Sounds like something a white person would say when discussing race. White guilt amongst our people is a bitch. But apparently it's cool amongst other races. I stopped reading after the first sentence. Carry on with your day bros. Sieg Heil.

Any time you have to justify your lack of racism.....you're probably a little racist. Which just seems kind of unavoidable. We don't know everything and we assume too much. Being white, you make up a lot of imaginary eggshells to walk around until you're familiar enough with a particular race or nationality to not even notice. Takes a while. Human experience, right?

I tried not to argue with black women unless I've got a taser on me. You can see why below.

Some people are too analytical about the subject, so many things can be taken the wrong way.

I believe there will always be forms of racism.

"white people" are paid more money for the same job than people from other "minorities"

Let me quote classic: define "same job".

You have CEO of Yahoo and CEO of Faggot Communications. Would you expect them to earn exactly the same money because they share the same job name? Or would you rather say in fact these are two different jobs? Would you expect Matt Cutts to earn the same money as Fabio for advertising the newest Calvin Klein underwear if he becomes model?

Perhaps by the "same job" you mean equal years of experience, identical education, same output, same dedication and talent within the same company but you will rarely see such a coincidence in real world.
