325i Owner here.
It is the best toy I have ever had. EVER.
... every generation they have made the models less relieable to sell more parts.
... I love the logo...
... accelaration, handling, luxury briming on every inch of a perfectly crafted machine ...
BMW's are nice and prestigious.....but they WILL break and it WILL be expensive to fix. Why not spend half the money and shit on BMW's with an Evo? The Evo will out-handle anything in it's class, and BMW's. it eats cars that cost 2-3 times as much as it does, and spend a few grand and you'll be dusting vette's, m3's, audi's, anything that comes it's way in a straight line and especially on the track![]()
They have a few aftermarket trunks that make it look betterLooking at an M6 but I can't stand that trunk ass.
@ Bandit
Yeah, I'm sure your 276 HP car is totally going to outperform the 340 stock HP of the M3 guy's car, or the 360 HP of the 650.
Now that I think of it, Evo's don't ever have any issues or ANY maintenance costs whatsoever. So you are right, you're a genius. We really needed you around to point out the perfection and flawlessness of your amazing vehicle.
Seriously, its a nice car, but it ain't a luxury vehicle, and it ain't gonna outrun an M3 or a 650 under equal conditions of modification.
@ Girard747
When I've said that I get tail, that means something different then what you were thinking.
And here I was wondering who it was that I caught last week jerking off with the tailpipe of my car. Now I know. If I catch you again, I'll turn it on before you can remove your tiny member :love-smiley-086:
And no, BMW engineers are not endowed with the talent to defy physics. But if you knew anything about what you are talking out your ass about, you would understand a little about horse power/torque/etc. Don't worry though, we understand that for 'special' people like you, numbers over 10 are hard to deal with, especially when those numbers have to be combined with concepts.:error:
you really should get your shit straight before you come on here acting like you know what you're talking about. First of all, Evo's are 291 HP stock, and 300 ft-lbs of torque. The 08 model M3 has 414 HP and 295 ft-lbs of torque. You were wrong on both cars. The 05 model m3 (with the $4,000 competition package) pushes out 333 hp and 262 ft-lbs of torque. horsepower and torque alone mean almost nothing. What really matters is how much of that power gets to the wheels, and how soon/when it comes, as well as power-to-weight ratio. The 2.0 4 cylinder stock Evo will dust any M3 off the line because of it's all wheel drive, but the newest model would catch it. The 05 model would get killed regardless. The M3's are really nice cars, and definitely more luxury. It just all depends on what you want. If you want pure value and performance, go Evo. if you have an extra $30k lying around, and want the luxury and prestige, go for the BMW. Now here's the thing. The newest stock Evo's have a terrible factory ECU tune. the Air/fuel ratios are wayyyyy to rich, and it can sustain higher boost levels. One can expect a 40-60WHP gain, just from a tune. spend another $3k for a turbo-back exhaust, intake, intercooler, and piping, and you'll be eating M3's alive for less than half the cost. Throw in a few more thousand for cams, a bigger turbo, better clutch and injectors, and you'll be eating just about anythingI'm just saying, you can mod an evo a lot easier than a BMW and you can squeeze a lot more power out of it for a lot less.
Now, of course the Evo has flaws. It needs maintenance just like any other vehicle, but it just won't be nearly as expensive. You can hear road noise more, and the interior just can't touch the quality of a BMW's (though I do like the recaro seats). Everyone has their tastes and preferences. I'm just saying, don't come on here insulting people and acting like you know what you're talking about, because really, you're just making yourself look stupid, and a dick at the same time.
Bandit;515535Everyone has their tastes and preferences. I'm just saying said:What he said. My cousin has a speed shop and one of his Civics will hold it's own against a new Z06 till 100 or so. I think his Integra is a 10 second car.
Just buy something you like. Of course the 2009 CTS-V is pretty nice and fairly fast at least compared to an M5.
I had one as a loaner once, theyre very quick and with a tune you can be at 400hp no prob. Wouldnt be a bad choice...Thinking about getting a 335i... good, or bad?
