Note 3 arrived. This thing is fucking glorious. I listened to 3 hours of music and did some work on it and I'm still at 92%.
Anyone here made a final move from iPhone to Android?

I'm a Android User myself, I've been one for a long time and never have I thought of going for Apple. But at the end of the day it comes to to what you like most yourself.
So I ended up getting a Nexus 5 specifically because of this comment.
My main issue with iPhones was speed. I need a fast phone just like I need a fast PC. When things are slow it makes me angry, and when I get angry, I lose my focus, and when I lose my focus, I don't make any money.
So far I LOVE the speed of the Nexus 5, it's amazing, but one thing I really hate is the Notifications system. When I get a message, there's a small tiny popup that appears for half a second at the top of the screen, then disappears. I'd like it to STAY on the screen like with the iPhone... I looked online and I couldn't find anything. Do you know how to achieve that?
The other issue is the sound is very low, even at maximum volume. This is really shitty because in a noisy office environment I'm missing phone calls and texts. Looked online and it seems a lot of people are having the same issue.
My notifications stay at the top. I have maybe 6 of them up there right now. Voicemail, Skype message, text message, etc. You know you can pull the notification bar down to see all of them, right? Sorry if that's not what you are asking.
I have the same problem with the sound level. I am always missing calls. Vibrate helps but that part does suck.

Not fast enough? The iphone 5s is the only smartphone to have a 64-bit processor... one could say it's overkill for a phone!
I think the Nexus 5 is a better value price wise but it certainly isn't faster.
so you've used both? a 64 bit chip doesn't just magically make everything faster, there's too many variables. i use both a lot and i can't discern any noticeable speed difference between either phone tbh.
Concerning the sound volume, I had the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The problem is easily fixed by downloading an app, such as Volume Plus, which made my phone insanely loud. Give it a try...

Yes, I've used both and they're equally fast... my point was just addressing the comment about the iPhone lacking speed.
Switched from iphone to a Note 3 as a present to myself for xmas. I can't imagine ever going back.

The first smartphone I had was an iPhone 3, and iTunes drove me mad so I went for Android.
My first Android was the Droid X2, giant pile of shit which I luckily lost one night while drunk.
I then got a Galaxy Nexus, which was a pretty reliable phone and 1000x better than the Droid X2, but it had its issues. Weak battery life and it would some times crash on any intensive app, like gps or web browsing.
I then got a S4, solid phone all around. Didn't really care for the stock firmware, plenty of others out there that really make it run well.
I've started using OSX and got a Macbook as well in the last year, I had considered the latest iPhone. However the S4 is just too damn good to want to get rid of, and the specs on the iPhone just not good enough to justify the switch. The Android phones keep getting better and outpacing the iPhone. I'd say the iPhones days are numbered, if Apple doesn't start to compete, but that's just me.

I tried both, and I felt like the Nexus 5 was ahead. My brother has the iPhone 5s, and even he agrees that my Nexus 5 is faster, especially when it comes to loading Chrome and surfing the web. There's a lot of components involved in speed, not just the processor...
