Anyone like philosophy?

Did I not follow up with another post clarifying that I meant me and my inner circle of friends?

Are you refuting my life experiences ?

I didn't answer one of your questions for me. . .

I haven't taken a philosophy class in years but I became disinterested when we had to argue that a chair is really in front of us and that when we feel the chair how did we know we could actually feel it. shit like that is retarded. I believe that is what metphysical train of thought. . . seemed like a waste of time

define hard?
define easy?

Define them as you wish. You are the one that started using words like "easy" or "harder" in this conversation. Or at least you continued to use them.

what is absolute?

I'll use the definition I got from google, which I agree with:
"A value or principle regarded as universally valid or viewed without relation to other things."

Apparently so.

Are you refuting my life experiences?

Yes, I am.
Damn, you caught me!

But for seous, I'm not trying to refute your perception. What I am doing is criticizing your weak comparison, for the reasons mentioned in my last post.

I'm bored of this now, point of my troll . . . not sure.

Real stance just like many other subjects philosophy is hard/easy depending how deep you want to go.

I don't appreciate metaphysical psychedelic drug philosophy but I do enjoy enlightenment era type shit and if you ever want to be a good debater you would be nuts to dismiss philosophy to help you harness your skills.

Case, meet point.

^ fuck I hope so I want a light saber so fucking bad.

Modern philosophy is a kind of inspiration for science. Science develops some of the concepts which originated in minds of philosophers. Most of the philosophers are also proficient in other subjects. You will get your laser saber soon or later.

Imo, philosophy is something you should study and read in your free time. It's not as fun when you're being made to do it.

If you really insist on going to college, save your major for something you can at least use for a job.

"But bro businesses totally love hiring philo majors and philo majors score the best on the LSATs"

"What, you think college is just a trade school? It's for flourishing and growing and" blahblah fucking blah. I didn't learn how to "philosophize" from my philosophy professors; I learned it from reading philosophical texts and THINKING. And yeah, college is a trade school. You're paying thousands of dollars for a piece of paper that's supposed to get you a good job. If I want to learn "for the fun of it", I'll go to a fucking library.

But hey, at least there were some hot philosopher chicks in my classes. The philosophy professors are some of the coolest ones too.
