I have done this in a while. feel free to post any questions you have about affiliate marketing and i will try to answer them. no technical questions please, i am not a programmer

In your company, have you seen a more noticeable increase or decrease in debt/loan consolidation affiliate offers being used or just straight lead generation offers for loans (new, refi, secondary)?

I am just wondering given the recent activities of Countrywide and some other large lenders who have run into a bit of trouble as of late.

Thanks.
(also, thank you for accepting me into Copeac last week)

I am new to this and am still trying to get out of the black and actually make a little profit. As a beginner, what approach do you recommend that I take? Low-payout zip and email submits? Higher payout offers that require the user to sign up for something? I've been trying a lot of different things but I keep losing money.

Hi,

I'd like to know about affiliate cookie. I saw affiliate link cloaking software that using embedded cookies on client side instead of cloaking link itself. Wherever they go, as long as cookie still remain and customer buy then you get paid. However, software such as "Stealth Affiliate" "Amazing Link Cloaker" and "Covert Affilaite" seems to be expensive and I think there should be some way to generate affiliate cookie manually and put them on my webpage. Is there another way to embed affiliate cookie instead of using expensive software I mentioned? :D Thanks for your help.

With COPEAC there are creatives in HTML formats for email. Can those creatives be used for landing pages? A newbie in AM so still trying to figure this thing out.

I just posted this question on another thread, so sorry for the repeat, but I'm not passing this up.

Direct Navigation Traffic-Do search engines have an overt way of measuring what people are directly typing into address browser? And how?

Debt offers are on the rise. now people confuse debt offers, most people think you need to be a homeowner to get a debt consolidation loan but really you can go to a debt settlement or credit counseling type company. thee are the debt offers that are growing in volume.

figure out how to not lose money. maybe lower bids if you're doing PPC, ask your Am if they can payout more, in some cases they can. If you're generating leads you're halfway there. I know in my experience with search engines especially Google they charge you more per click for the first 1-3 weeks then the costs go down. When we set up a new campaign we expect to lose money for the first two weeks.

they could be used as a landing page. or you can take advantage of our creative services. We will build you a landing page at no cost as long as youre running our offers, talk to your AM to get it done.

hmm i am not sure, i would guess that Microsoft built in to IE the ability to see what was entered and if the web address or word is not found they bring you to a search page since that is what happens when you type in a word in IE, i am sure other engines have worked out similar deals.

Hope that answers your question.

(I'll probably receive a verbal spanking for the "noobishness" of this one...)

Niches such as gaming (flash games, console games, pc games etc... not gambling) often get mentioned as low-paying ones when it comes to PPC campaigns - does this ring true with affiliate marketing; or should newcomers to this area forget anything they've experienced with PPC when it comes to picking a niche?

If you're talking about being paid per click from adsense then forget anything you know. google keeps a percentage of the click cost, that percentage could be 50% or as much as 90%, you never really know.

Mike,

Any tips on generating keywords and writing successful ads for google adwords?

I have done lots of reading on here, just curious if you have any other tips that may not have been brought up yet.

Also just curious, what type of help do AM's generally provide affiliates?

Also aside from PPC, what other advertising do people generally do to promote copeac offers?

I recently dealt with an affiliate company that has their own feeder sites for select offers that affiliates and get tracking urls for and send traffic directly to them.

Some of those sites convert really well (by my surprise). I have mixed feelings but they are nice when I just want to focus on driving traffic and not all the mumbo jumbo of pre-selling on my site.

Will copeac ever implement something like that?

Mike,

I don't have a question, but I just have to say that you guys are really on point. The landing page creation, these threads, etc. good stuff.
