Mike,

Any tips on generating keywords and writing successful ads for google adwords?

I have done lots of reading on here, just curious if you have any other tips that may not have been brought up yet.

Also just curious, what type of help do AM's generally provide affiliates?

Also aside from PPC, what other advertising do people generally do to promote copeac offers?

for keywords try to think out side of the box. I know you hear it a lot. lets say you're promoting a wine offer. The box thinks to bid on the term wine, red wines, Cabernet wines, etc.. outside of the box thinks where do people buy wine from? wineries, liquor stores (both offline and online). make your ad target the group. So say you make a group of local liquor stores, your ad might say. Buy wine wholesale. Get wholesale prices save up to 30% fast reliable delivery.

For copy you need to be truthful in your ad but also look at it objectively. 90% of what you write is going to be crap, dont let your ego tell you otherwise. The trick is to see what others do, see what gets your attention, and dont look at just the type of product youre selling, you might see something for another niche that works well for yours.

Marketing online takes skill, and your skill can be sharpened if you begin to pay attention to the ads around you and dissect them, discover why something is said and use the technique you learn in your own efforts. More than half the ideas i have come from seeing it applied elsewhere.

Your AM should help you with ideas, things you need (pixels placed, creative, motivation), making money and what offers are doing good as well trends you can pick up on (i.e. payday season starts in nov)

Besides PPC people do SEO, email, CPM banner buys,

I recently dealt with an affiliate company that has their own feeder sites for select offers that affiliates and get tracking urls for and send traffic directly to them.

Some of those sites convert really well (by my surprise). I have mixed feelings but they are nice when I just want to focus on driving traffic and not all the mumbo jumbo of pre-selling on my site.

Will copeac ever implement something like that?

Do you have an example?
We will design out landing pages for affiliates, we also have an API built for ringtones that our affiliates can use and we are working on a similar API function in our dating vertical.

Im starting a site that hosts music videos. How likely is it that Ill make AM sales if I put an AM link to a sales link for the CD above the video?

For an AM noob, should one make landing pages and try to get SERPs or create content networks to make sales? What are 2 or 3 popular ways to get AM sales?

I can PM you some links later, I don't have them on this PC.

Did you always offer LP design? Any certain requirements need to be meet to get the service? Also, didn't know about the API deal but then again I never ran ring tones of dating.

I actually like designing all my landing pages but from my experience with these feeder sites was it saved me time on figuring out if the offer was worth putting in the effort. That's taking into account their site was set up similar to what I would have tested with.

We have been doing the design services for about 2 months now. Ask your AM and they will get something made for you.

you need to test it. Sell ringtones or free stuff like a gift card or electronics.

Most people spend money on PPC to drive traffic, if youre looking for free traffic it comes at a cost of your time, you can spend months playing with the SERPs and get nowhere, or you can buy traffic and start in a day.

You guys supply landing pages? Where the fuck have I been, sign me up!

If you had 600 to a grand for something new how would you spend it besides hosting, domains and PPC budget?

One last question, what are, like, 5 quick, general ways to make sales in AM?

ie
1.) Rank a content site with AM ads
2.) Try to get a landing page ranked
3.) Advertise on craiglist
4.) PPC to landing pages
5.) Get tattoos on your arse

etc

I ask because I dont envision people buying things unless theyre from stores or store-type websites. It seems like content (articles, videos, random bullshit) sites wouldnt be the place I go to find a new internet service or chair or laptop or something... etc

Every service and/or product is different. Youre on the right track

Hey Mike,

I have several profitable campaigns now, but my problem is getting them to scale up. For example, I have a handful of campaigns that I spend $20-30/day to make $40-50/day. (This might be hard to answer since it's a bit broad), but how do I take the next step to getting more volume? I'm currently using PPC. Thanks.

Hi Mike

Have just signed up with copeac, same username as here, do I just have to wait now for 72 hours to see if I get accepted.

(Is there anything you can do to speed up the process  )

try other engines, open up to the content network, or try to tweak your ad to get a better CTR

figure out how to not lose money. maybe lower bids if you're doing PPC, ask your Am if they can payout more, in some cases they can. If you're generating leads you're halfway there. I know in my experience with search engines especially Google they charge you more per click for the first 1-3 weeks then the costs go down. When we set up a new campaign we expect to lose money for the first two weeks.

I've heard about Quality Score, but I thought that you had to have good content / link backs to increase your QS/decrease your PPC. Will your PPC also just automatically decrease within a couple weeks?

Yes we have seen this happen, we also start out with a page designed to help with QS

Every time I go to sign up, I see the "Site Information" at the bottom of the sign up form and I don't sign up because I've been meaning to ask you:

I'm strictly a PPC direct to offer, PPC to url redirect to offer, or PPC to landing page to offer kind of guy. What should I put here so I don't get disapproved? Just any one of my landing pages?
