B-Complex/B12 Injections

Don't be a prick because you're backpedaling. LOOK at the posts and when they started to turn. It's after you said you ate like shit, drank to much dew and blah blah blah. YOU said you didn't believe it was a torn muscle. That's where someone said the vitamin issue could be causing problems for you.

Don't call people nazi's because they gave a shit and tried to help you. That is just screwed up. And weird.

Fine, you're healthy as hell, you are thin (I never said you were fat) and life is grand. Mainline the B-12. Go for it man. If that doesn't work, high grade crank is the shit.

I do take a multi-vitamin, err, more than one, but I just started, so I have yet to notice any effects. My grandma sends me like $100 worth of vitamins every month, with the usual "Please take these honey, I worry about your diet and stress, and you need to stay healthy" lol. Grandma rocks.

As for diet, my diet is terrible. I eat fast food most of the time, and have done so for the last 10 years of my life. 75% of those 10 years has been spent eating 1 fast food meal per day, and filling the rest of my intake with mountain dew... I drink 2-4 liters of dew per day. I quit smoking, I quit chewing, I quit drugs and I quit drinking, but I can't for the life of me quit the dew. Ive tried.

That covers the caffeine part.

As for excersize, I really do need to do more. But I am so fucking lethargic that I can't imagine doing anything that takes physical energy. I want to, the drive is there, but when it comes down to it, my body talks me out of it. I live in a 3rd story apartment, and have now for 5 months, and I still feel like im going to die every single time i climb the stairs... My gf makes fun of me.

On top of that, I just got out of the hospital 45 minutes ago... I got these really sharp intense pains in my chest, right where my heart was... Then my left arm started to hurt really bad, then my left arm went completely numb. So, I went to the ER. Did an EKG, Xray, full bloodwork, and they found nothing. Told me I damaged the muscle tissue between my heart and rib cage, but I think thats bullshit. I could feel my heart struggling to pump what felt like tar through my veins.

So maybe this is where I finally push myself to use those brand new Adidas running shoes I bought 5 months ago and haven't even tried on yet...

I bolded your words. Just in case you forgot.

P.S.

Nothing personal , but this happens on forums all the time and it's irritating especially when people actually try to help a person.

Person A posts some info. People that respond based on that info. Then Person A comes back with snippets of more info. Responses change with the new info.

Person A decides they don't like the responses, adds a ton of completely different info or info that changes what they said in previous posts, then everyone that responded based on the original posters posts are the fucktards supposedly.

I don't get it.

My Original Post: “Anyone here had one?

Without going too in depth, I am weighing the good vs. the bad of a B complex injection...

Wondering if any of you have done it, and especially curious if any of you have done it yourself, or purchased it yourself (Mexico, Canada, Internet, anywhere that isn't the US)

Let me know... If you HAVE done it, do you know all of the ingredients in the particular formula you had? I'd like to compare what I have here with what someone else has taken, and compare the experience...”

Post #3, #6 and #7 all referred to “weight loss”, so apparently people thought I was trying to lose weight, or better my health… I was simply trying to find an energy boost. Some people have a beer or hit the bong to relax, I am looking for something to help me un-relax. (And although you did kindly suggest meth, I have a hard time seeing a logical half-brained comparison of Methamphetamine and Vitamin B in the same light I guess)
So, in an attempt to put things back on track, I posted the following in post #8:
“lol

I have heard of them being used for weight loss purposes, but that is far from my use.
clip_image001.gif

I was just wondering if anyone had tried it minus a prescription... There is a 50/50 debate on the effects of B complex on fatigue. Im 22, 6'0, 185lbs, and I have the energy and physical drive of a 72 year old...
Im always tired. I quit all my bad habits, even fast food, but it still remains... It isnt like, SEVERE, but Im just lazy as shit physically sometimes... Figured maybe I'd give it a try...

I self medicate, but only when needed. Mainly due to a lack of health insurance.

Anyways, Ive got a killer deal on B complex, and I was j/w if anyone here takes B complex injections often, and if so, if I could compare ingredients...”
So there is my second attempt to gather information on B12, and to sway attention away from any other topic. I even said I quit all my bad habits, so the direction of the thread wouldn’t turn to “Omg, Look at all the shit he does to his body”. I failed.
You followed up by stating that “I get one every month. I go to a diet doctor, specifically a bariatrics specialist. I go there not to lose weight, but to make sure my weight stays where it is (I'm 5'6, 123 lbs.). I get nutritional counseling, vitamins, and a B-12 shot.” What is it with all you guys and losing weight? Lol
That post was followed by numerous suggestions from members stating that I should try Exercise, Caffeine, and Green Tea. These are legit answers, as they do touch on the original topic. Energy, and how to get more.
Id like to point out that in post #14, RockDiesel said “…provides greater weight loss benefits if that is what you are after…” …Really? Again? Lol (I still appreciate the suggestions though RockDiesel!)
I followed up with post #16: “I do take a multi-vitamin, err, more than one, but I just started, so I have yet to notice any effects. Ok, I said that my diet was/is horrible. Maybe I was a bit confusing there, I’ll take that one. What I meant was that my diet, overall, has been horrible my entire life. I lived like a college student, and not a vegan hippie northern California one. (Apologies to all NorCal Vegans in here)
When I touched base on the exercise, I said I am lethargic. I am not actually medically lethargic. I just get physically tired and lazy. My lack of sleep (I average maybe 5 hours per night), coupled with my physical exhaustion of my physical job, and living with a female, all adds up to leave me exhausted. The last thing I want to do at the end of the day is go use more energy I don’t have, when I feel like fainting I’m so exhausted, and there is still hours of work to be done.
But then again, none of this stuff matters, as I was REPLYING to the side-topics that people were getting into. I wasn’t going to simply reply with “That isn’t what I asked.” Maybe I should have, but I’m not a sand-filled vagina like that.

I honestly don’t feel like sitting here for another 45 minutes comparing posts and shit. But after all this many people went on to say that my habits were terrible, blah blah blah. Look, Im a relatively healthy guy that drinks a lot of soda. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs, I don’t eat fried foods, I cook 3 times a week, and always make healthy things (usually Mediterranean). I eat salads. I take vitamins. I mean, I am probably above half of this forum right there, as far as diet and shit goes.
My whole reason for getting upset was a) I asked about B12. Not weight loss, not health, nothing else. b) I was getting backed into a corner that I didn’t expect, and I wasn’t about to just sit there and say “Oh, Ok” when it wasn’t all “Ok”.
I’m a sucker for a good argument. But my point was, is, and will continue to be, I just asked if anyone had taken fuckin B12.
I’d like to add one more thing… For someone that get’s a B12 shot, you should know that you can’t mainline it. It’s intramuscular.
:)

Oh, P.S. If you'd look up, you'd see that all I did was ask everyone to relax. I always thought I was an edgy person, but damn...

:repuke: :female:

Your low energy comes from bad health. Just get out of your house with your running shoes once a day. Reduce the dew a bit and replace it with something else.
That alone should do enough to raise your energy levels consistently in the long run. Better than any mexican B12 shots ever will.

I did stop the soda yesterday... Once I can get out of bed and back on my feet I'll start running... To be really honest about the whole thing, I think one of the major reasons I haven't tried running yet is because I just feel like an idiot doing so. I'm weird like that... We all have our own weird shit, and for some reason I just feel weird running/jogging or even walking down the street.

I think it has to do with my past, and the fact that I am constantly expecting someone to be after me, so I feel very unsafe and paranoid when I'm walking down the street... It's just something I can't help, and it's why I instinctly always look for ways out of every building I walk into, and I pay attention to all side streets and dark areas...

I'll start jogging when my gf wakes up for work, 4:30 am-ish, that way no one is really out, and it's dark, and it isn't hot out. (I live in AZ)

had one in the early 90s when was playing semipro football ehink it helped some was on high protein shakes and a lot of other things the team gave me

Actually, I didn't know you can't mainline it because I go to the doctor and get the shot. I don't ask about the particulars, I don't ask about mainlining anything, I just get the shot in the arm once a month along with sound medical advice from a licensed doctor, then I pay him and all is good.

I was being a bitch. :)

Oh, P.S. If you'd look up, you'd see that all I did was ask everyone to relax. I always thought I was an edgy person, but damn...

By the way...what does this translate to? If it's a diss, I'm good with that being in English. I'm the one who was arguing, I can take the heat if you have something to say. :)

P.S.

I'm sorry if it came off like I backed you into a corner, I really didn't mean to. I just get very passionate about nutrition and fitness because of the difference that changes in both made in my life.

I wouldn't cut out caffeine all at once, you will crash and feel like shit if you were intaking a lot of it. Tapering off will make it easier on you and allow your body to produce it's own natural...forgot what its called...adrenaline or whatever it was...

You eat nothing but fast food...no wonder you have fucking chest pains.

Cut all shit out of your diet, eat all healthy whole grain foods, and make sure to eat meals throughout the day. Trust me - I eat NO shit and exercise and it's given me 100x more energy. Man up and do it.

Miggy gave me one he said was B12 but then I got a boil on my ass and my hats stopped fitting.

Seriously though- try that whole "food and exercise thing."

Almost all nutrients are found in a variety of delicious foods- most are easy to prepare or buy.

I am not big on supplements either- like MRs, but I know some of the impressive people here use that stuff. I prefer actual food.

Exercise- I get mine in first thing in the morning. That's the only way I can. Otherwise I feel run down the rest of the day. I force myself to go down to my basement and get that kind of work done before I go in my office and get the other work done.

I am in my late 20s. I cant believe how much my I let myself go after 18 or so. And in a way I am even pretty lucky. I should probably weigh about 400 pounds ( only a little more than half that), jointless, toothless ( never even had a cavity or anything), and everything else based on how I lived from my early to mid 20s.

Never had a b12 shot. Personally it's fine with me if people get all the shots they want, even HGH and roids. I am pro-drugs from a moral standpoint.

And I fucking hate the food police, the BMI nazis, and all those fucks. I will never say "OMG never eat fast food, your gonna die"

I just think the health/exercise route is a good CHOICE if you so choose. It's more desirable IMHO to eat least try to be heatlhy rather than treat your body like shit and then try to fix/mask the problems with supplements.

You don't have point discrimination in your heart, so a lot of times chest pain can mean a bunch of stuff, so I wouldn't worry too much about a heart attack since you are young. The fast food for the past 10 years won't help you at all 10 years down the road though. If you are looking for an energy booster, cut the fast food and do like you said and start running. If you stay consistent on both of those, you will feel so much better and you will be 10x more productive in everything you do.

Don't get a B12 shot, its retarded and you don't need it. In class we've been taught that unless a patient comes in and has been a strict vegan for a year or so, they have an adequate level of B12 (negating rare genetic anomalies). Even then, folic acid supplementation can make up for a lot. Eating a steak will keep you good to go for a while with your B12 though.

Many times its so much easier to pop a pill and go sit back down with what you were doing rather than doing what you need to do and exercising. Even though it takes more motivation, you will be really glad if you can get into a schedule with it all. My wife is a health nut and I despise all healthy-tasting foods, so she's had to find ways around it and make healthy food taste good. Now that I've been stuck on that routine for a while, Wendy's and McDonalds makes me sick after I eat it. Anyways, good luck and sorry that was such a long post :anon.sml:

I am going to disagree with the whole jogging recommendation. The biomechanics of jogging are more advanced than people think. The majority of people's running mechanics are poor and instead of running, they basically just pound the ground with their heels. Add in being overweight and you and your body aren't going to have much fun.

To quote strength coach Mike Boyle, "You can't run to get fit, you need to get fit to run."

However, if you would like to jog, I would try to find a personal trainer or strength and conditioning coach with experience in running and running mechanics to help with your jogging/running form.

EDIT: Just read a post above that tells you to ditch the egg yolks. Egg yolks are not evil and neither is cholesterol. The key, with anything, is consume in moderation. They contain healthy fats and good cholesterol and should not be removed from your diet completely. I would recommend 1 egg yolk with 3-4 egg whites if you want to go that route.

+1

the cholesterol in egg yolks is a beautiful balance of saturated and unsaturated fats. for very low-carb diets, they are practically a must.
