Backlinks Genie Update: Boss Socks

agreed. Plus allow more then 3 keywords per project. Diversity seems to me way more important now. Love to be able to throw in 20 kw's.

Agreed

For the moment I'm just using the Express on Aladdin and content/social projects for deeplinking URLs. And then using the Advanced for my list of xxxxx longtails. But the option to spin would be one more step removed for sure.

Awaiting updates on a new Aladdin set to get its stuff in at next-available spot, not overwriting existing projects, and I'll be bombing that thing left and right.

Also want to hear about updates to BLG-Connect planned. If there are none, I'll probably code more myself.

Just checked my first set of aladdin reports from the new express setup. It did well for me. Spinning wasn't that great, but the article it picked made it difficult.

All around though it was pretty awesome. Different article used on the web2.0's and article directories. The bookmarks are still the stupid 3 from each site setup. Titles were well spun.

Manual setup will still always be best, but just don't think that extra effort is worth it anymore unless you're doing some super high quality. Sticking with express

I did express setup of Aladdins and it seems to take forever for the review (why even review it they're doing it themselves)

Just did an express run... article topic not even close to being relevant to my keyword. Anyone else run into this? (not bitching by any means, and I suspect it will get better, just curious.)

I never really looked into BLG before, but now since it seems to be a lot more efficient to use in terms of time I'm definitely going to check it out.

Yeah. A good way to go.

Would you (or anyone) recommend using it on a fresh site which has basically no linkbuilding done, or would you wait until you throw some other links at the site and it's already doing decent in the serps?

I think something like the Aladdin would be a good kick for some sites which are not quite at the top yet but they're almost there. Have a few sites at different stages I think I'll end up trying BLG on.

My article was spot on. But I would imagine if you're in a weird niche there is no way in hell that your article would be right.

@guesswho: I would feel just fine for a new site. That is just an opinion. It's not really high on any numbers so to me it's how a site should be started + some high PR stuff and social signals.
Social bookmarks (not many anymore), blog posts, web 2,0's, articles, and a few high pr forum profiles. All in moderate numbers. Simple.

Hmmm I just looked at mine and the article wasn't even spun. It was the same one over and over again for the web 2.0 and blog net work. They did a different article for the article directory but it was still not spun. Guess I'll hit them up today to find out what's going on.

Yeah, I agree, guess I'll just have to try it out on a few sites and see how they do to really be sure.

I disagree that the value has increased. Has nobody noticed that the web 2.0 are now posted on their own private domain network rather then public web 2.0 sites? That drastically reduces their effectiveness and increases the footprint.

Hi guys,
I've been out of the office and am just getting back into things and thought I would respond to some of you. Here goes.

Awaiting updates on a new Aladdin set to get its stuff in at next-available spot, not overwriting existing projects, and I'll be bombing that thing left and right.

We will have the Aladdin added to the list of projects to choose from within the plugin settings. I have a list of your suggestions and will see if we can sneak any of them in when we add the Aladdin :)

I did express setup of Aladdins and it seems to take forever for the review (why even review it they're doing it themselves)

We do not know what topic you enter or what urls you will link to. So you could enter a site or topic that is not allowed and our scraper would go to work getting content but if it is not allowed the manual review will catch it. We review the blog posts once they are set to run for that day. After they are all reviewed we fire off our scripts to get to work.

Just did an express run... article topic not even close to being relevant to my keyword. Anyone else run into this? (not bitching by any means, and I suspect it will get better, just curious.)

We scrape from several sources and if the script cannot find an article related to your keywords a general topic article will be used. We will continue to add sources which will help our script find relevant content. But as a general rule the more specific you are with your keywords the lower the chances are of finding related content. For example, coffee maker would have a much better chance of returning a related article than Bunn-200x-expresso. We go in order starting with the first keyword so you could enter in the generic term first and then add the specifics to be spun in.

Hey Turbo. Let me know what project this was on and I'll check into it. I spot checked your projects and saw they were all spun. We did have some hiccups last week but none with the spinner that I know of.

I disagree that the value has increased. Has nobody noticed that the web 2.0 are now posted on their own private domain network rather then public web 2.0 sites? That drastically reduces their effectiveness and increases the footprint.

Over the past few months we did some research on the stick rate of the 2.0 sites and found that a large percentage did not stick for very long. Even using unique content and adding images and videos did not help that much.

If you look at software, like senuke that posts to 2.0 sites, they at best have 50 or so sites they post to. Of that 50 you will be lucky to get half to actually post. Out of the 20 or so that actually post, less than half will still be live in a week. Reposting to the 2.0's after a week or so was returning such low numbers that it was a waste of time. We have been reporting 20-40 sites in our 2.0 projects for months now but we did not feel right upping our delivery number because of the low stick rate. It is not doing us or our users any good to build links that only last a few days. Now it is possible to repost to the 2.0's to fully develop the site out and keep 25 sites active which is way more effective than before.

As for footprint we have more sites in our db than any script or desktop app. So actually the footprint will be spread out more than before.

Also, we have had quite a bit of feedback from our users about the way the new Aladdin is configured. Specifically, the PR linkwheel and bookmarks at the target site. We will be updating the Aladdin shortly to remedy the issue by pointing the bookmarks at the first tier (web 2.0's, articles, & blog posts) and removing the PR linkwheel since the xrummer blast in the second layer makes one of them redundant. The main objective of that layer is for indexing an getting noticed so we kept the project with the higher number of links in it.

We just about have all of the bugs worked out of the new system and have a little server capacity open so we will be opening an official sales thread in the BST section soon.

Yup, this was a great adjustment, the old 2.0's were getting erased left and right, these are sticking and boosting SERPs. A clear win.

jschmidli, what about spinning URLs in the express setup and increasing the number of allowable keywords?

Just joined up trying out the BLG lite to see how I get on with before upgrading. But could you tell me how many blogs sites you are currently running and average actual page pr. Also does the API for linkicious work with the Lite package?

Ta.

I can confirm that it's for real. We have had this in the works since last the end of last year and have been bustin our humps to get it done. We were going to keep it on the down low for a week to make sure we had the capacity covered enough and then blast it out to the world. But evolutionvision decided to let the Genie out of the bottle :)

Here is the breakdown of what we changed. We will follow up with a proper sales thread next week.

  • Premium users can now run one project from each of the three classes per day. Yeah 3 projects per day!!!

  • The Magic Carpet and Aladdin projects have been combined and are now just the Aladdin. The new Aladdin has been reconfigured to point more of the links to the target site itself.

  • The new Aladdin project runs in one day not 4 days as before. This now packs a whopping 7 project types into one day!

  • The blast project types in the Aladdin project have had their delivery reduced.

  • Web 2.0 delivery per day for premium users has been increased from 10 to 25.

  • Date variables can now be inserted into projects much easier by checking off dates of past projects on a calendar.

  • An account with The Best Spinner is no longer required to spin content.

  • Express project set up is now available. Simply enter in your URL and Anchors and the system will do the rest. One great feature of the express is that each time it is scheduled it will scrape NEW content, spin it, insert your links, and post it. Create an Aladdin project by entering in two fields and que it up to run everyday and get new content for each project everyday of the month!

  • The Lite and Standard packages have had their project types and deliveries updated. They both now have access to content projects but in lower daily deliveries than the Premium package.

  • The Lite free trial length has been reduced from one month to one week.
Some sites in a private network like ours can become deindexed in one search engine or another. It is just the nature of the beast. We take every precaution possible(unique ip's, unique nameservers, private registration, ect.) but it is bound to happen. We considered removing the sites from our network but found they still helped for ranking in the other search engines and that many times they were indexed again a week or so later. We will be adding a large number of sites to our network over the next few months.

Ill get that password input changed. Thanks for pointing it out.
