+1 for dchuk 2013 btw the troll to mod ratio is at alarming levels. OH AND Three cheers for Ice, he put up with a lot of shit from pewep.

Unbeknownst to lukep, upon being banned he lost his bitcoin regalia

i want to stay, but if i get banned it's not the end of the world. I'm trying not to piss off too many people with my posts (and especially not Mike..because he likes to ban)
 
I would imagine that quite a few members have this account on ignore. I figure I'd be gone in a heartbeat if certain people became mods.

If only a bunch of people banned everyone they didn't like, there wouldn't be anyone left to post here. I mean, there are even a lot of jew jokes on here, but you don't see Jon banning people left and right.

Maybe let the glorious free market work its charm. If there's no one interested in reading pewep or holodomor shit, they'll stop posting and go away.

That said, I'd be happy to put in time to settle any disputes in BST. I've been here every day for quite a long while..

Its a fact. If a bunch of people were able to ban everyone they didn't like, the entire forum would break down a lot faster than it otherwise would.

Banning is also not the solution considering that it only takes a proxy to come back again. And, they do come back because the demand for their troll content is still there

Why do you think he stayed here for so long? Mods didn't want to ban him simply because people didn't like him. If that was the norm a lot of big posters here would be history a while ago.

He got banned this time because he asked for it himself based on the result of his own poll.

I don't see an issue here.

Yea even I don't. Personally, I'm happy to not have to see pewep threads, but isn't he back already :uhoh2:

SkyFire's reason for not supporting a pewep ban always comes to mind..
 
It's been quite a while since WickedFire passed what I'd call a reasonable Law of Diminishing Returns for useful info.

The amount of noise on this forum makes it impossible to find anything useful in quick amounts of browsing, and I don't have time to read every last thread.

Have I probably missed some great posts and threads since disappearing? Yes. But would they have been worth my time to find, after wading through 9000 troll posts? Not for a long while.

Pewep was one of the major factors in that downfall. Correlation DOES equal causation.

Lots of us in this forum have grown up - especially since Panda/Penguin. This forum has clearly chosen to NOT grow up with its senior members, and that's why I've buggered out.

Wickedfire still has the best group of people of any IM forum that I'm on. Information quality as a whole has greatly diminished though.
 
I still don't understand why so many people reply to his threads lol. Just now saw one of his latest threads and it's already got like 30-40 replies.

It's like I said before, you can't get rid of pop music by banning Justin Bieber. Mold grows in environments conducive to mold.

Pewep was never the problem, just a symptom of it. Here's the real problem:
