Anyone have recommendations on where you've gotten it?

I've looked around a little and found Turkey, Colombia, Germany and Poland being recommended. The UK is on the list as well, but I'll leave that out due to the increased cost at no extra benefit.

I'd like the best all around value, with the quality being the most important, only then followed by the cost.

I had it in the UK, service was good, I have nothing to compare it to though.

Are you experiencing any side effects? Like double vision or something?

I heard that there are some side effects of this so I am kind of afraid of the surgery.

btw my no. is more than -2.50 for both eyes if that makes any difference.

sorry OP for hijacking your MH370

Lasik M.D. at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. I had it done 8 years ago, $1500 both eyes. Time it for one of the festivals and spend a few days. Exchange rate is getting better.

"Turkey, Colombia, Germany and Poland"

Out of these I would certainly choose Germany lol. Will probably also be the most expensive one though. But if you live in North America it would make no sense I guess.

The American health care system and quality of service being provided along with level of care and expertise is definitely the WORST of anywhere in the world, so I definitely agree with your decision of NOT considering them.

There are probably 15 places to get it done within an hour drive of me. Da fuck?

One eye is a little dry, but it's not major, and drops can control it if it's bothering me. Overall, probably some of the best money i ever spent. I was -5.50.

What do you mean a little dry?

Like itchy? Is it permanent? And you only got this after having Lasik done?

I really want to have it done but still kind of paranoid about something going wrong.

My mom had it done in Kuala Lumpur, and worked great. No complaints at least, and if there were any, I'm sure I would have heard of them.

No idea of the cost, but I remember she saying it was cheap. $1000 for both eyes, or something.

Good recommendation. I hadn't even thought of KL, but I bet it would be quality and so easy to deal with.

I would actually recommend India . The BEST hospitals do Zyoptix for around 800 bucks for both the eyes .
I am at -3.5 right now , wearing some 1.71 index lenses . Maybe you can try out those 60% water contacts too .
I am assuming you know the risks involved in lasik procedure ?
